All these dharmas are realized as emptiness, unoriginated from the very beginning. If one exerts diligence, all the roots of virtue on the white side will increase like the waxing moon; this is diligence. Diligence does not diminish white qualities, and one will find the inexhaustible treasury of the victorious ones' wisdom. It is said. That diligence should not be applied to perverse efforts, but rather to generating great strength of diligence that equally abides in the two aspects of bodhicitta. Then one must abide in samadhi. That is, one should not desire the five objects of desire, just as one would not place roots in front of a tiger or leopard. Cut off all elaborations and fix your mind firmly on contemplation. Make great effort in samadhi, and at that time, it is natural not to desire the objects of desire. It is also said: "Through samadhi, one abandons contempt for the objects of desire, and manifestly accomplishes knowledge, clairvoyance, and samadhi." Knowledge is self-knowledge and other-knowledge. Self-knowledge is the knowledge of the state of the vajra body from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. Other-knowledge is the knowledge of the realms and latent tendencies of all sentient beings equal to space, as if holding an amalaka fruit in the palm of one's hand. This is the fruit of wisdom. It is also said: "Through wisdom, having fully known the nature of phenomena, one truly transcends completely from the three realms." It is said. What is the nature of phenomena? All phenomena encompassed by samsara and nirvana, unoriginated from the very beginning, are emptiness, and this is one's own mind. Appearances are not something that exists outside. If one wonders, what are the various white, red, and diverse appearances that appear? All of those are appearances of the mind. It is also said: "This appearance is extremely, without thought, without movement, yet in this way it abides close to great meaning in the world. This is the appearance of one's own mind, but individual ordinary beings do not know it." It is said. Lord Phagmo Drupa said that sometimes this valley below Re'ngam is considered to be a ground of burning iron. Sometimes it is said to be Akanishta, but these are not contradictory statements. When the two aspects of bodhicitta arise within, it is Akanishta. When anger arises within, it is burning iron.
