It abides in the subsequent wisdom. If one remains in emptiness, hasn't one heard of the subsequent wisdom of compassion? The difference between these is like different kinds of grains put into one container and cooked. Are the wheat and beans not cooked? Everything is cooked at once, but they exist separately. Similarly, all habitual patterns abide in the nature of one, but they also exist separately. Because they abide in the nature of one, all that should be abandoned arises with one antidote, and the three times are one in the mandala of the mind, and the three things of body and appearance are one in the moment of dependent origination. This is the key point. So, is the Tathagatagarbha present in the four noble ones or the Tathagatas, and not present at the time of sentient beings? It is not like that. The complete Buddha body is pervasive, and because suchness is without difference, and because it has lineage, all beings always have the essence of the Buddha. It is said that the cause exists at the time of sentient beings. Moreover, for hell beings, it exists without difference from the suffering of hell, and suffering does not make the Tathagatagarbha worse. It does not become better at the time of enlightenment, just as the sky is not burned or destroyed when the world is destroyed. The dependent origination of sentient beings also abides naturally as cause and effect like space or illusion. This is called union. Union does not mean combining two into one, but it naturally abides there. That is, dependent origination is free from the eight extremes of elaboration, and the two dependent originations of cause and effect are united without difference. With this in mind, Je Tsongkhapa also said: This mandala of various clear appearances is of one taste in the center of the non-elaborate sky. What is said is also this meaning. All the Tathagatas of the three times have no other Dharma to teach than dependent origination. Regarding dependent origination that is free from the eight extremes, (it says) "Whoever sees dependent arising," etc. Regarding the dependent origination of cause and effect, (it says) "Dependent arising is the Victorious One's profound and precious treasure of the treasury of speech. Whoever truly sees this sees the Buddha."

"Seeing the supreme wisdom." Thus it is said. Seeing dependent arising is seeing the Buddha, seeing the Dharma, seeing the Sangha. Thus it is said. Apart from dependent arising, there is no other Dharma. Thus it is said, this is the secret treasury of all the Tathagatas of the three times. The protector of the world, the unique Dharma of dependent arising that appeared in the world, is the treasury of his father. If one does not understand this, then like a son who has not seen the treasury, he can only be a poor person. In general, there are many levels of Dharma to understand. It is like when the sun rises, there are many levels from the appearance of many levels of dawn to the actual rising of the sun. All these are understood through the Dharma of gathering. The former three (referring to the three patriarchs of the Kadampa school: Dromtön Gyalwa Jungné, Potowa Rinchen Sel, Phuchungwa Shönnu Gyaltsen) also highly valued the Dharma of gathering. Some people only know how to pray to the lama, know how to do good deeds, and think that is enough, which is a very narrow view. Knowing this, only the lords of the ten bhumis can do it. In general, being content with the satisfaction of desires is the Dharma of the Buddha, being content with the Dharma is the Dharma of Mara. The Bhagavan also said that he would not say that he has completely understood all the Buddha's teachings. That is, like a lamp, electricity, jewel, sun, and moon, relying on this, those with eyes can see. Similarly, the great hero's Dharmakaya is radiant, and relying on the hero, this is correctly explained. Thus it is said, what else needs to be said by others? I need a grand armor, thinking that I must understand all the teachings of my holy guru. When you have this, you will naturally have the ability to cultivate. This is also understood through the Dharma of gathering, so you must work hard on this. The happiness or suffering of this life and the next, the body and appearances, etc., are also the result of how the cause went. This also arises according to the inner thoughts or samadhi, such as the maid of Varanasi, Ashoka, the noble owner of the bull, etc., or the robbers of Tölung and Sharmo, etc., are all the cause and effect of samadhi. Understanding all these details completely clearly is understood through the wisdom born of meditation. Its root is also the world.
