Due to the delusion caused by ignorance, formless things become very hard and solidified. It is said. In general, the nature of the mind is without self from the beginning. As it is said in the King of Tantras, the Glorious Guhyasamaja: "Free from all things, aggregates, elements, and sense bases, grasping and the grasped are completely abandoned, the selflessness of phenomena, equality, one's own mind is unborn from the beginning, it is the nature of emptiness." It is said. Thus, what is selfless is mistaken for self due to ignorance. From this, one mistakes self, others, and so on. From this, one accumulates various karmas, revolves in the three realms, wanders in the six realms, and suffers. It is also said, as the Noble One said: "If there is self, then one knows others, from the division of self and others, attachment and hatred arise, from the connection of these two, all faults will arise, all faults have this as their root, this is also the view of the perishable collection." It is said. And in the Condensed Mother of the Buddhas it says: "The two, self and the phenomena of self, are not truly empty, children themselves tie knots in the sky. For example, due to the thought of suspicion, poison arises, even if the poison has not entered the stomach, one will faint. Similarly, children accept self and what belongs to self, in that self, non-true thoughts arise, arising and ceasing. As one grasps, so all afflictions are shown. Not grasping self and what belongs to self is said to be completely purified." It is said. Again, it says: "These beings are attached to the mud of name and form, like a wheel of wind, they wander in the wheel of samsara. If one knows that beings are confused like wild animals caught in a net, then the wise, like birds in the sky, freely roam." It is said. The teacher Nagarjuna said: "As long as there is grasping of the aggregates, there is grasping of self. Having grasping of self is also karma, from that, rebirth will occur again." It is said. The teacher Shantideva said: "Attachment arises from grasping self and what belongs to self, hatred arises towards harm. From this, all faults arise, beings are completely defiled by afflictions." It is said. Again, it says: "Whatever harm there is in the world, all the suffering that exists in the world, all of that arises from grasping at self, what will that great demon do to you?" It is said.
