And, the superiority and inferiority of the faculties such as faith, and the various inclinations such as inclining towards great aspiration but inclining towards small actions, and the various realms and lineages, and the path traveled by all beings in samsara and nirvana such as gods, and the many past lives of oneself and others, and death, transmigration, and birth, and the cessation of defilements and their methods, etc. The aspect is that one is not attached to or obstructed by these, but is manifest in all aspects. Among these, the first is the subjugation of the demon who deceives in means, saying that one attains higher realms through life sacrifices, etc. The second is the subjugation of the demon who deceives in refuge, saying that the powerful ones, etc., lead to liberation. The third is the subjugation of the demon who deceives in purity, saying that attaining the first dhyana, etc., is liberation. The remaining seven are the subjugation of the demon who deceives in the definite emergence of the Great Vehicle, namely: means, refuge, and purity, and on the definite emergence of the Great Vehicle, beings are greatly deceived, I prostrate to you, the subduer of demons! Thus. These four fearlessnesses should be understood as originating from the benefit of oneself and others. Among these, self-benefit is twofold: the distinction of wisdom and the distinction of abandonment. The benefit of others is also twofold: completely abandoning unfavorable dharmas and relying on favorable dharmas. Among these, the fearlessness regarding manifest complete enlightenment originates from the distinction of self-benefit wisdom, that is, promising to manifestly completely awaken to all aspects of knowable things, and there is no one who can refute it anywhere, establishing truth in all the worlds, etc. All aspects of defilements are the afflictions together with their imprints. Obstructing dharmas are all afflictions such as attachment, because they obstruct liberation. The path of definite emergence is from the practice onwards until the ultimate path, because these cause definite emergence from samsara. The essence of these four is: I say that I have manifestly completely awakened, but regarding this, these dharmas have not manifestly completely awakened. Thus, whether it is a śrāmaṇa or a brahmin or a god or a demon or Brahmā or anyone, no sign of refutation or competition in accordance with the Dharma is seen, and because that sign is not seen, there is happiness.

Having attained fearlessness, having attained unconcern, one abides thus. One proclaims with a great lion's seat. One circles in the abode of Brahma. In the assembly, one roars the lion's roar truthfully. Saying, "I have exhausted the defilements," but these defilements are not completely exhausted. Those teachings that I have declared as obstacles to the hearers, even if taught, will not become obstacles. Saying, "The noble path of liberation that I have spoken for the sake of liberating the hearers is not true liberation," or "The suffering of doing so is completely exhausted, and the end of suffering will not be distinguished." To this, no one, including ascetics, has refuted me. Thus, one should proclaim widely, roaring the lion's roar truthfully. For the wisdom of self and others, for the obstacles of abandonment and liberation, and for the proclaimers, O other heretics, to you, the shepherd (Buddha), I prostrate! Thus it is. The three mindfulnesses are: one will not be attached to the assembly that respectfully listens to the Dharma and practices it accordingly, nor will one be angry with the assembly that is the opposite. Some respectfully listen to the Dharma, etc., while others do not, and one will not be attached to or angry with either. Therefore, one completely gathers the assembly, and all afflictions such as attachment and anger will not arise, thus attaining true accomplishment, etc. The three unguardednesses are: the Tathagata's activities of body, speech, and mind are without impurity, therefore, one does not think of concealing the faults of the three doors for fear that others will know them. Therefore, when completely gathering the assembly, one does not fear being blamed, and thus one can subdue and discipline as one pleases, applying teachings to protect the merits already attained, etc. Without guarding, without forgetting, therefore, one speaks frankly in the assembly. Having abandoned the two afflictions, to you who gather the assembly, I prostrate! Thus it is. The nature of non-forgetfulness is: starting from all the actions of the beings to be tamed, one manifests the activities of the body and the forms of speech as they are, etc. For the actions of all sentient beings, you are always
