Because of enduring with fear, it is called endurance. Because it is a worldly path and actually leads to the path without outflows, it is the most excellent of all, therefore it is called the most excellent of worldly dharmas. Secondly, the detailed explanation of the uncommon is that yogis, each with a mind of equipoise, take the Dharma, such as the Sutra Pitaka, which is considered to be true, and through the means of mental expression, first obtain the clear appearance of the non-inherent nature of the object of grasping, and the samadhi and wisdom that are in accordance with the first obtaining of the clear appearance of the aspects of truth. Also in the Ornament of the Sutras, it says: When a Bodhisattva enters into equipoise, except for mental expression, all meanings are not seen. This is what is said. Manifesting a clear appearance on the non-inherent nature of the object of grasping or the aspects of truth is the peak, because it is situated above it. As it is said: In order to increase the appearance of Dharma, one should always exert steadfast effort. As it is said. Endurance is: because of enduring the non-inherent nature of the object of grasping, one enters into one side, and because one abides in accordance with the realization of non-inherent nature by worldly beings, it is called following. Thus it is said: Therefore, the appearance of all meanings, appears greatly in the mind, at that time, that which is grasped, that distraction is abandoned. As it is said. The supreme Dharma is: the worldly path that realizes the non-inherent nature of the grasper, immediately after which the samadhi and wisdom associated with the transcendental wisdom will arise. As it is said: At that time, the uninterrupted samadhi, is quickly attained, thus after that, the distraction of the grasper is abandoned. As it is said. Among these, those that are in accordance with the part of discernment, cause the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing to diminish, but they do not eradicate the seeds, because they are worldly paths. Why are they worldly? Because they are associated with conceptual thought, because they follow after names, grasping and distinguishing the true characteristics of impermanence, etc. Therefore, they

It is not direct perception, nor is it inference, because it is born of thought. These arise from meditation. Therefore, they are samadhi and wisdom that are in accordance with correct contemplation. Third, regarding the nature, divisions, and explanation of the meaning of the scriptures that refer to the path of seeing, there are three parts. First: Immediately following the supreme Dharma, it is the samadhi and wisdom that do not apprehend the self of person and the self of phenomena, along with their corresponding aspects. How does it not apprehend? If the object to be apprehended and the subject that apprehends are both without inherent existence and are equal, then knowing equality as equality is also the path of seeing. The Dharma knowledge of yogis, each individually counteracting the signs of sentient beings, etc., and focusing on suchness, is also the path of seeing. How is it the Dharma knowledge that counteracts the signs of sentient beings? Because in their own continuum, they do not discriminate the sign of the self of person. How is it the Dharma knowledge that counteracts the signs of phenomena? Because in their own continuum, they do not discriminate the signs of phenomena such as form. How is it the Dharma knowledge that counteracts the signs of both in all things? Because in all continuums of self and others, without distinction, they do not discriminate the signs of the self of person and the self of phenomena. So, what is the nature of the wisdom of this path of seeing? Are the afflictions to be abandoned gradually or suddenly abandoned? With how many minds does the path of seeing become complete? Regarding this, the wisdom of the path of seeing, although it focuses on the truths such as suffering, at that time, the signs of discriminating thoughts such as "This is suffering" do not arise. However, the truths previously discriminated by worldly people with conventional knowledge, without the proliferation of names and signs, merely knowing the suchness of meaning alone, because it focuses on the signless, only the signless will arise. The habitual tendencies of the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing are of two types: those associated with the initial form, and those associated with mind and mental factors. Among these, the first is to be abandoned by higher insight.
