Transformation of the basis: The alaya-vijnana (store consciousness) should be understood as being free from all the latent predispositions of afflictions. Fifth, explaining the knowledge of cessation and non-arising: Knowing that the causes of arising have ceased, or focusing on the cessation of the causes of arising, is called cessation. Knowing that the suffering of future consequences will never arise again, or focusing on the cessation of the non-arising of the suffering of consequences, is called non-arising knowledge. Others say that cessation knowledge is definitely the direct perception of all truths. As it is said, "Direct perception is not something made," etc., it is intended as the knowledge of non-arising. Thus it is said. Sixth, among the ten dharmas of the non-learner, the non-learner's right speech, the limit of action, and livelihood are the aggregate of discipline. Mindfulness and samadhi are the aggregate of samadhi. Right view, right thought, and right effort are the aggregate of wisdom. Right liberation is the aggregate of liberation. Right knowledge is the aggregate of the wisdom of liberation. Thus, it is established in terms of the five aggregates of the unpolluted. Third, the general aspect of the truth of the path is "again," etc. Among them, because it seeks the true suchness, it is the path. Because it is the antidote to afflictions with irrational attention, it is reason. Because it is established as understanding suchness without being inverted in the faults of permanence, etc., other than suchness, it is called accomplishment. Because it constantly goes to the state of permanent liberation, it is called the one who definitely brings forth. The difference in the aspects of truth is that the aspects of all truths, such as impermanence, etc., are sixteen. Because they are included in the path, there is also the worldly path, and there is also the transcendental path such as the path of seeing. If so, what is the difference between the two? In response, the worldly path does not depart from suchness, so it has not entered well into the knowable, has not abandoned the latent predispositions of afflictions, so it is contaminated, and because it grasps through the door of expression, it has conceptualization. The transcendental path is the opposite of this, so there is a difference. Refuting the argument against non-conceptualization, if there is no conceptualization, then it is not certain that this is the case. How can it enter well into the knowable?

If that is the case, when entering into the form of transcendence like this, for example, just as the eye sees form, one directly sees the meaning of impermanence and experiences it; it is not seeing through explicit statements and detailed descriptions. Similarly, for the remaining ones, it is not that seeing the meaning of renunciation is renunciation itself. Like this, and so on, combine them according to the circumstances.
