Not letting go of the observed place. Complete pacification means that if forgetfulness arises and various conceptualizations arise, then one does not accept it. Single-pointedness means that with manifest effort, one continuously and uninterruptedly keeps the mind in samadhi. Equanimity means that because of extreme familiarity, without manifest effort, the stream of the mind's samadhi arises naturally and without distraction. The Ornament of the Sutras also says: "Having fixed the mind on the object, do not let it continuously wander. Having quickly realized the wandering, one should keep it there." It is said. Vipassanā is the discernment of dharmas and knowable things, such as "this person is the six elements." Like this, discerning all existing things, and thoroughly discerning their nature as they are, without inversion, and completely distinguishing and completely deciding the nature with conceptual wisdom. These are the ways to accomplish qualities. The Samdhinirmocana Sutra says: "The vipassanā of the yogi, after practicing śamatha, is liberated from the bonds of characteristics and likewise from the bonds of bad states." Like this, vipassanā is the antidote to bad states, śamatha is the antidote to the characteristics of the object, and both can liberate from inverted notions of permanence, etc., and it is for the sake of placing the mind in the correct reality as it is. The way these transform into four paths is: as it appears in the sutras, there are four situations. The first is that some people have attained the abiding of the mind in śamatha, but have not attained vipassanā. That person, relying on the śamatha he has attained, strives to discriminate. The second situation is the opposite of this. The third is that a person who has not attained both of these, when agitation arises towards forms, sounds, etc., does not pacify it, cuts it off, and strives to practice both (śamatha and vipassanā) of the mind. Like this, one seeks vipassanā through hearing and remembering, and one practices vipassanā first, and then strives to practice śamatha. The fourth is that one has attained both, and integrates and unites the two equally. Indicating the three faculties by name, such as "unknowing," etc. The way to gather the paths is that the first moment of mind of the path of application and the path of seeing, a total of fifteen

The five indriyas of mastery are the five faculties such as faith, and the state of being associated with the three of mind and feeling (pleasant feeling, joyful feeling, equanimous feeling) is the indriya of displeasure. The ten are that, in order to fully understand the previously unknown suchness, one enters, therefore the indriya of fully understanding the unknown is called the "indriya of complete knowledge." From the sixteenth moment of mind of the path of seeing until the Vajra-like Samadhi, all the paths of learning have mastery over these ten indriyas, therefore they are called the "indriya of complete knowledge," because the previously unseen suchness cannot be known, and what has already been seen needs to be cultivated. Except for displeasure, the nine indriyas that have mastery over the path of no more learning are called the "indriya of complete knowledge," because they have mastery over abiding happily in the present life and Nirvana. The power of cultivating the path of higher grounds is that, by cultivating the path of the higher grounds such as the first dhyana, one can also cultivate the roots of virtue of the lower grounds such as the desire realm, because one has obtained mastery over making those virtues of the lower grounds as one wishes. There are two kinds of ultimate path, briefly stated, immediately after entering the Vajra-like Samadhi, one becomes the state of complete exhaustion, knowing the cessation and non-arising, and the ten dharmas of the path of no more learning are called the ultimate path. What is the meaning of becoming the state of complete exhaustion? It is the cutting off of all the faults that will be explained. Its meaning is that the corresponding attainments are cut off, and the attainments of separation are obtained. The ten dharmas of the path of no more learning are the complete perfection of the eightfold path, such as the correct view of the continuum of no more learning, and liberation, which is the liberation of mind and the liberation of wisdom. Correct knowledge is knowing cessation and non-arising. The detailed explanation is divided into six parts, first is the explanation of faults. All the faults are twenty-four, namely, the faults of manifestation are the habitual tendencies of clinging to the names of all dharmas such as the eye, which have been imprinted in the alaya-vijnana from beginningless time. The faults of feeling are the habitual tendencies of all feelings associated with defilements. The faults of afflictions and karma are...
