As it is said, division does not occur. Just as, when the wheel of Dharma has just been turned, and at the time of Nirvana, because the Sangha is harmonious, and there is attention to the Dharma, and when there are no faults in discipline, because there are no sinful views, and before the unique pair has appeared, there is no mediator, and after the Buddha's Nirvana, there is no teacher who is regarded as a rival, and because the Sangha must split into two factions within one boundary, it does not occur in places where boundaries have not been demarcated. Among them, the divider is a Bhikshu who possesses views, conduct, and discipline, but not one who practices desire and is immoral. The first is because the power of wisdom is weak, and the second is because the words are not trustworthy. When is it? It is at the time when the teacher is not manifestly present, because one cannot turn back the Buddha's teachings, so one cannot divide when he is manifestly present. Who divides? It is the Bhikshus who are ordinary beings, not the noble ones, because they have gained faith after learning from the Buddha, so they cannot divide. By how much is it divided? For the Bhikshu who divides, it is divided by just the amount that certainty arises in the teacher and the true path taught by him. How long does it last? It does not last for one night, because it will be reconciled before dawn. Why is it called the division of the wheel? Because until it is subdued, the world, including the gods, will not feel happy and peaceful, and hearing, thinking, and meditation, etc., will not increase, therefore, it is an obstacle to the turning of the wheel of Dharma by the Tathagata. The nature of the path of action is false speech, and the ripening result is that it will ripen in Avici hell for one intermediate kalpa. Therefore, this is the heaviest of the five in terms of ripening result, because although the ripening result of others is certain to fall into hell, it is not necessarily Avici hell. Killing one's father, killing one's mother, killing an Arhat, and drawing blood from the Tathagata with malicious intent, know that the former is heavier than the latter. These are the paths of action.

The nature of the first is that the first three are the actual acts of taking life, and the latter is its preparation. If one experiences the ripening of karma from committing many deeds of immediate retribution all at once, then many bodies will be accomplished simultaneously; if experienced gradually, it contradicts immediate retribution. If asked, will the ripening of all karma be experienced simultaneously? The answer is yes, it will be experienced simultaneously. Like this, the hellish body from committing many deeds of immediate retribution manifestly accomplishes both large and small forms, and various unbearable punishments and harms will arise, and because of these, very many feelings will arise. The karma that will be experienced from birth is not limited to just the five deeds of immediate retribution, but also includes other virtuous or non-virtuous deeds performed with very strong intention. As it says, 'Destroying an Arhat, cutting off an established Bodhisattva, killing a learner, and robbing the assembly gate of the Sangha, are similar to deeds of immediate retribution, the fifth is destroying a stupa.' Like this, it is unreasonable to explain deeds close to immediate retribution as being experienced from birth, because that would make them no different from deeds of immediate retribution, because they are also certain to ripen in hell, and they also arise without interruption in other lives. Therefore, for these deeds, there is no certainty of being experienced from birth. The third, karma experienced in other lifetimes, refers to the ripening of any karma that will ripen in future lives and beyond. These three types of experience are classified according to the beginning of experiencing the result, and it is not certain that the result is completed by just that. Having done so, it is consistent with what is said in the realization statement called 'Kyihu Sem': 'The ripening of karma from deeds of immediate retribution is experienced by beings dying and being reborn again and again in hell.' Sixth, the explanation from the perspective of nature and result: the result of black is black karma, which is non-virtuous, because its nature is affliction and its result is desire. The opposite of this is that the result of white is white karma, which is the virtue of the three realms. Karma that becomes a mixture of black and white is the virtue of the desire realm.
