It is also suffering, because in the mother's womb, it arises from being between digestion and non-digestion, and in the womb, it is tormented by various impure substances, and all parts of the body are squeezed, therefore suffering is experienced. Besides that, it is also the place of suffering such as sickness and old age, because after birth, suffering such as old age will follow. Old age is the complete change of youth and other ages, and the strength of the body declines, therefore it is a place of suffering. Sickness is the complete change and imbalance of elements such as wind and bile, therefore it becomes a place of suffering. Death is the complete change of life, and it becomes a place where unbearable suffering of cutting off the vital point arises. The cutters of the vital point are the three: water, fire, and wind. The vital point to be cut is the part of the body's organs that, when its function is lost, will cause death. It is the part of the body's organs, not the other organs, because even if other organs such as the eyes are damaged, it seems that they can still survive. Also, not just any part of the body's organs will do, because even if limbs and other parts are damaged, one will not die. How does one cut off the vital point? When any of the three, water, fire, and wind, are disturbed, and a certain part of the body is damaged, suffering like cutting tender flesh with a knife will arise. Earth is not the cutter, because it does not have the fourth fault of becoming the nature of earth. Meeting with unpleasant enemies causes unhappiness and quarrels and other suffering, and separation from beloved relatives such as sons also causes suffering such as grief and lamentation, therefore meeting and separation are also suffering. If one seeks what one desires and does not find it, it becomes suffering because one does not obtain the desired result. The five aggregates of clinging are the place where suffering arises, because they have become the basis of bad karma, therefore all suffering arises from them. Summarizing into six means that even though they are actually eight, the three sufferings of change, sickness, old age, and death, are summarized into one, so there are eight.

Those also become six, such as worry and so on. If the suffering of change is divided into three types: change of age, change of elements, and change of life, then birth suffering and so on become eight types. Establishing as three is, such as "If suffering itself is said to be of three types," and so on. Among these, the five, such as birth suffering, fully reveal the suffering of suffering, because they are the self-nature of the dharma that experiences suffering. Separation from loved ones and not obtaining what is desired reveal the suffering of change, because they are, in order, the self-nature of the dharma that experiences happiness due to meeting and not meeting, respectively. The five aggregates of clinging fully reveal the suffering of conditioning, because they are not liberated from the two types of suffering, and are established in connection with impermanence, and are not the same as happiness. Showing as two types, as it is also said in the sutra: "In conventional truth, suffering" If two types are mentioned, then what is the self-nature of these two? The seven types from birth to not obtaining what is desired are suffering in conventional truth. Because even children can understand that these are the basis for the arising of suffering. The five aggregates of clinging are suffering in ultimate truth, because children do not generate aversion or the desire to separate from these, because they cling to these as self, so they will never understand them as suffering, only the noble ones see these as suffering. As it is said: "Like the palm of a child's hand, one does not perceive the hair of the suffering of conditioning. Like the eye of a noble one, therefore, one becomes very disgusted." As explained in the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha. Thus, after showing the nature of the basis of the truth of suffering, in order to show the characteristics that represent it, it is said, "What is the general characteristic of suffering?" and so on. This should also be understood through the two natures of classification and categorization. The first is the four, such as impermanence. Why are impermanence and so on only shown as the characteristics of suffering?
