There are two, namely, the one located at the lower base and the one located in wisdom. Those waters do not pour directly, nor do they drip downwards. Above that, due to the karma of sentient beings, clouds with golden essence will arise. From that, rain will fall, and that great water circle also depends on the wind circle. Then, those waters are mixed and solidified by the wind, from which the great earth circle called the golden ground is formed. Others say that the width of the water is eleven hundred thousand, and the thousands are twenty. Later, the width becomes eight hundred thousand, and the remainder becomes gold. Thus it is said. The water and gold circles have a diameter of twelve hundred thousand, and the thousands are three, and the hundreds are only fifty and a half. Thus it is said, the description of the width and size of the two circles of water and gold is the view that each of the four continents has one water circle and one gold circle. This is because all billions of four continents have four water and gold circles, so it is thought that the width and circumference cannot be measured. Therefore, the dimensions were not stated. However, it is like the wind circle, about the size of a three-thousand great thousand world. Above that earth circle, also due to karma, clouds with the essence of various elements will arise, from which rain will fall. Those waters will also remain on the golden ground, and they are also mixed and solidified by the winds. Having been mixed in this way, from the good, the best, the principal, and the abundant elements, Mount Meru will arise, which has the nature of the four precious jewels, namely gold, silver, crystal, and lapis lazuli. Among them, those intermediate elements will form gold mountains like these, namely Yoke-Holder Mountain, Good-Looking Mountain, Horse-Ear Mountain, Lovely Mountain, Sandalwood Mountain, Plow-Holder Mountain, and Ring Mountain will manifest, and they also surround Mount Meru like the seven small iron mountains. The height of Mount Meru, up to the water level, is eighty thousand yojanas. The width of the water is also the same, also yojanas.

Now, eighty thousand yojanas are submerged in water. The height of the Yoke-Holder Mountain above the waterline is half of Mount Meru. The height of the remaining mountains up to the Axis-Holder Mountain should also be understood as half of each inner mountain. The majesty of those seven mountains is also said to be equal to their respective heights. The names of those mountains should be observed from the differences in the shapes of their peaks. From the impure realms arise the four terraces of Mount Meru, the four continents and eight subcontinents, and the surrounding mountains. The circumference of the mountains is half of the Axis-Holder Mountain, and it is said to be made of iron. It encircles the four continents like a wheel. The other abodes of the Asuras are all below the waterline of Mount Meru. The Snow Mountain is near Lake Anavatapta, and below it are the great hot hells, the cold hells, the solitary hells, and the neighboring hells, as well as the abodes of animals and some pretas. Those four continents are: Jambudvipa, Purvavideha, Aparagodaniya, and Uttarakuru. Among them, Jambudvipa is chariot-shaped, six thousand five hundred yojanas. Purvavideha is crescent-shaped, seven thousand yojanas. Aparagodaniya is round, seven thousand five hundred yojanas. Uttarakuru is square, eight thousand yojanas in size. The eight subcontinents are: Deha and Videha are in the east. Kuru and Kurava are in the north. Camara and Aparacamara are in the west. Cavara and Utaramantrina are the attendants of Jambudvipa. There are people everywhere, and some say that Rakshasas reside in Camara or Aparacamara. The water between those seven golden mountains has eight qualities and is called the Inner Sea. Their measurements are initially eighty thousand yojanas, which is the Inner Great Lake. That is three times its size. The other Playful Seas are halved. As previously stated. There are Nagas there.

The abode of the earth is that in the water, there dwell great nagas for an eon, who are earth-holders. Joyful and Near Joyful, Horse Four, Giving and Taking, Radiant, Great Black, World Protector, Ela's Leaf, these eight are situated there. They are also the army of the lord of the gods, Indra, and they experience the battles between gods and asuras. There are four kinds of nagas, such as those born from eggs, and there are also four kinds of garudas. Among them, the miraculously born garuda eats all four kinds of nagas. Those born from heat and moisture eat the other three except for the miraculously born. Those born from the womb eat two. Those born from eggs eat only those born from eggs. So it is said. The waters from outside the Iron Enclosure to the Wheel Enclosure are called the Outer Ocean. It is salty and rich in various creatures and jewels. It is also called the Four Great Oceans according to the distinctions of the four directions. Above the water boundary of Mount Meru, there are four tiers. The lowest tier extends sixty thousand yojanas outward from Mount Meru. The remaining three are half the size of the one below them. It is said that each of their widths is ten thousand yojanas. Thus, it is below the Yoke Holder Mountain. On the first tier, yakshas holding fans in their hands dwell. On the second, yakshas holding blood in their hands dwell. On the third, those who are always intoxicated dwell. On the fourth, those who hold rosaries dwell. On the four corners of the top of Mount Meru, there are four peaks, each with a width of five hundred yojanas, and there dwell yakshas holding vajras in their hands. On the four faces of Yoke Holder Mountain, east, south, west, and north, are the palaces of the Great Kings, World Protector, Increased Being, Wide-Eyed, and All-Hearing, in order. The other golden mountains also have the cities, towns, and lands of these Great Kings. Near the King of Mountains, the Snow Mountain, there is a golden rock like a bird's nest, called the Face of the Asura, which is fifty yojanas wide in the water and fifty yojanas wide horizontally.
