That which eliminates the eight root (afflictions) is the forbearance of knowledge of the Dharma with respect to suffering. The forbearance immediately following the uncontaminated forbearance, also because of seeing suffering, eliminates the afflictions to be abandoned, thereby transforming the basis; immediately following the transformation of the basis, the manifestation of liberation is the knowledge of the Dharma. The forbearance and knowledge immediately following that knowledge of the Dharma are the cause of the noble Dharmas of learners and non-learners, because those (noble Dharmas) truly arise from them. Focusing in this way, the uncontaminated wisdom that manifests in each individual is the forbearance of subsequent knowledge. That which, with uncontaminated wisdom, ascertains and completely severs that forbearance of subsequent knowledge is subsequent knowledge. Similarly, the remaining truths should also be applied accordingly, and it is easy to understand. The objects of transcendent wisdom are twofold: suchness and true wisdom. Among them, the object of the path of the aspect of knowledge of the Dharma is suchness, and the object of those that accord with the aspect of knowledge of subsequent realization is true wisdom. Therefore, what is apprehended by the forbearance and knowledge of the knowledge of the Dharma is the realization of suchness. What is realized by the forbearance and knowledge of subsequent realization is the apprehension of pure wisdom. The individuals who abide in all those forbearances and knowledges should also be understood as yogis abiding in the absence of characteristics, because they do not perceive any characteristics of individuals and phenomena. All sixteen moments included by forbearance and knowledge are the path of seeing, because they see each noble truth, which was previously unseen, in four aspects. The moment of mind should not be the final moment when something has not arisen but is merely arising, but rather the arising of knowledge is fully complete, such as knowing suffering among the four truths, such as suffering, and abandoning the origin. In the commentary, it says: All those that are extensively elaborated, beginning from the path of seeing, should be understood as merely established; the state of being beyond the world is to be known by each individual themselves.
