So, what is the aspect of "perfected reality"? Because it is as it is imputed, therefore it is completely non-existent. As it is said. If it is thought that the dependent is established in conventional truth, but not in ultimate truth, that is not correct. If the dependent is not established in ultimate truth, then the refutation of the Yogacara-Vijnanavada by the Madhyamikas, as it is said in the sutras: If the dependent nature, which is unborn and unknowing, has a real essence, then what harm can the son of a barren woman cause to this which should not exist? As it is said. And, attachment to the substance of dependence destroys all the establishments of worldly conventions. Etc., why should the Madhyamikas prevent the dependent nature? The Madhyamikas themselves do not think that the dependent nature is conventional truth, and the Vijnanavada has not promised that the dependent nature is truly established. Therefore, the dispute between Madhyamaka and Vijnanavada is only about whether the dependent nature is truly established, otherwise, there is no basis for dispute between them. Because the Madhyamikas also only refute the true establishment of the dependent nature in their own treatises, and the Vijnanavada only refutes the Madhyamikas' non-recognition of the true establishment of the dependent nature. As it is said, in the commentary on the Thirty Verses: Or, like consciousness, the knowable is also real, one side thinks it is mind, and the other side thinks that like the knowable, consciousness is also conventionally existent but not ultimately existent. In order to refute these two extreme views, this treatise was written. Etc., as it is said. Therefore, those who establish the views of the Yogacara school say: The perfected reality is truly existent in ultimate truth, the dependent nature is only a nominal establishment and does not exist in ultimate truth, and the imputed nature does not even exist in nominal truth. They say this because they have spoken these words out of ignorance without understanding the Yogacara treatises like an ocean, and have only clarified their own views. In whatever part of the Vijnanavada treatises such as the Madhyantavibhaga, it is said that the ultimate truth is the only one. Etc., (explaining that) the dependent nature and the imputed nature are not established in ultimate truth, but only the perfected reality is declared to be established in ultimate truth.
