Without cessation, no one would cling to self and phenomena. Therefore, no one would be completely defiled by afflictions, and because there is no cessation, there would be no complete purification. The imputed nature (parikalpita), unlike the dependent nature (paratantra), does not exist substantially. If it were so, the wisdom of yogis who realize the two kinds of selflessness would not be the object of suchness, and therefore they would not be able to eradicate afflictions. If someone were to say that it does not even exist in name, that is not possible. Because in the world, people say, "My consciousness sees form," "hears sound," etc., the terms of grasping and being grasped are universally seen in the world. And the terms of self, such as "I" and "mine," are also universally seen. Therefore, from the wise to the children, all worldly people cannot deny the terms of person and phenomena. There is no proof of existence in name other than what is universally known in the world. And the imputed nature, other than person and phenomena, does not appear in the treatises of the wise. Therefore, the nature of the imputed is existent in name. This is established. Those who exemplify the imputed with things like rabbit horns, saying that it is not even established in name for the sake of teaching, are those who are not well-versed in the terms of the Mahayana scriptures, which are like an ocean, and yet they act presumptuously with the Dharma. If that were the case, the characteristic of knowable things would not be three, but only two. And truth would not be two, but only one, because they deny conventional truth. All beings would be liberated without effort, because no one would cling to the terms of self and phenomena. If that were the case, the "self" of the Samkhyas and the "lord" of the Ishvaravadins, etc., should also exist in name, because those terms are also seen. If someone thinks so, then whatever term is universally known and established in the world is a worldly conventional existence. But the terms of the "self" of the Samkhyas and the "lord" of the Ishvaravadins, etc., are only known to those who have joined their tenets, and no one else knows those terms. Therefore, their meaning is not conventional

It is not so, because terms such as the object of grasping, the grasper, the person, sentient beings, and individuals are widely known in the world. Therefore, these are established as worldly conventional truths. Thus, those who slander the nature of the completely imputed are dominating the unlearned Dharma. The nature of the perfectly established is neither falsely imputed like the completely imputed, nor substantially established like the dependent arising. If it were substantially established, would the dependent arising be substantially one with it, or different? Because for things that are substantially established, other forms are not reasonable. If it were substantially one, then the perfectly established would not become the object of wisdom, because like the dependent arising, it is the nature of complete contamination. Or, the dependent arising would not become the nature of complete contamination like the perfectly established. If it were like the second case, the dependent arising would not be empty of the completely imputed, because the emptiness that is empty of the completely imputed, that is, the perfectly established, has no connection with the dependent arising. Therefore, this perfectly established is to be realized by yogis with their own self-aware wisdom in an inexpressible way. This is not something that children can apply terms such as existence and non-existence to, because it transcends the object of the mind that appears as duality. Those Yogacharas who say that suchness is the essence of wisdom, for those people, there is not even a little bit of the classification of this treatise, because suchness is repeatedly taught as the unconditioned, and in many parts of this treatise it is said that the unconditioned is not included by the aggregates, and nowhere is it said that consciousness is not included by the aggregates. Also, wasn't it said, "This true consciousness, free from the object of grasping and the grasper"? If you ask, that is because the dependent arising is not the true completely imputed. When it is true, the nature of the object of grasping and the grasper, which are non-dual, abides like a beryl jewel free from dirt. Therefore, it is said that non-dual wisdom is truly existent, and that is the nominal perfectly established, not the characteristic perfectly established, because in the Compendium of the Great Vehicle it is said: In what way does it
