is wisdom. These are explained from the perspective of the meaning to be expressed. If explained from the perspective of the expressing language, there are also fourteen methods of explanation. Among them, the gate of collecting explanations refers to where the necessity of the origin of the sutras and the meaning of words, etc., are stated. The gate of collecting things refers to where the three trainings and the four truths, etc., are taught. Do not commit any evil, practice perfect virtue, subdue your own mind, this is the teaching of the Buddha. As such, the first three lines sequentially express the three trainings. Limb and near limb refer to where one word indicates and the rest explain, which is an excellent indication. For example, the two words "self-wealth and other-wealth are perfect" are indicated by the following five words in order. The first is: human body, born in the central land, complete senses, karma not reversed, and faith in the place. The second is: the Buddhas appear in the world, the sacred Dharma is taught, the taught Dharma abides in the world, following the Dharma that abides in the world, and compassion for others. The gate of manifesting from higher to higher refers to where the lower is the place for manifesting the higher, therefore these dharmas are taught as such. For example, the five faculties, if one believes, one will initiate diligence, if one initiates diligence, one will be mindful, if one is mindful, one's mind will enter samadhi, if one enters samadhi, one will truly know. The gate of abandoning refers to starting from here, proclaiming the abandonment of here. For example, like in the sutra of "Staff Forest": starting from the exhaustion of defilements, outsiders and this sect obtain, and being content with mere thought, and being discouraged after practice, and the accumulation of merit not being complete. To this, monks, I say that I am exhausting defilements with knowledge and vision. Thus, the first person is abandoned. The second person is abandoned by "diligence in the yoga of practice," etc. The third person is abandoned by the metaphor of "Staff Forest." The fourth person is abandoned by the metaphor of "boat." The gate of completely transforming letters refers to completely transforming letters that are completely established into other meanings, which is below.

It will be cut off. The gate of wasting and not wasting refers to where it shows extreme wasting, extreme not wasting, and the means of both, and the detailed classification of both. For example, in the Sutra of Good Birth, it says: Extreme wasting is to be particularly attached to external and internal things. Among them, external things refer to the characteristics of family and wife, etc. Internal things refer to the characteristics of the five aggregates of clinging. Extreme not wasting is to be free from particular attachment to both. The means of extreme wasting is to be unmotivated, and even after renouncing, to be careless in making the outflows exhausted. The means of not wasting is the opposite of that. Among them, alas! Son of good family, Good Birth, this has two beautiful aspects: one is between shaving hair and beard and renouncing, and the other is between exhausting outflows and realizing, which shows not wasting and its means, so the opposite of that will also show wasting and its means. The detailed classification of not wasting is: The monk is beautiful, peaceful and exhausted of outflows. This shows renunciation and exhaustion of outflows. That exhaustion of outflows is also: Free from desire and free from desire, without clinging, enters Nirvana, defeats the army of demons, and is the last of births. This refers to, with the worldly path, being free from desire, with the transcendental path, abandoning the lower fetters, with the upper fetters abandoning, and completely showing the abandonment of internal things. The opposite of this shows the classification of wasting. The gate of establishing persons refers to where it is said based on how many persons. For example, like what appears in the Sutra of Water-born. That sutra is spoken based on the classification of two, three, and four persons, namely ordinary people and those who see the truth. Ordinary people are of three types, namely non-white, slightly white, and extremely white. Those who see the truth are of four types, with four differences based on abiding in the fruit. The gate of establishing detailed classifications refers to stating the meaning of questions such as the four possibilities. For example, in the Sutra of Impermanence, it says: Whoever sees all this sees all forms.
