From the Ornament Sutra, it says: "Those who are stable desire those comforts, those who suffer desperately desire happiness, those with afflictions and their treatises, thoroughly engage in its suchness." Thus, it is explained that the object is sentient beings who possess suffering, etc., the object is the treatises that teach them, and the object is the suchness of sentient beings. The basis of these, such as love, is all based on any of the actual practices of meditation. The objects are, in order, those who desire happiness, those who possess suffering, those who possess happiness, and sentient beings who possess afflictions. The aspects are also, in order, may we meet with benefit, may we be separated from suffering, may we not be separated from happiness, may we be separated from afflictions, and those who abide thinking of benefit in this way. The essence is all the samadhi and wisdom that are truly attained, because it is encompassed by calm abiding and insight. The companions are the minds and mental factors that are similar and corresponding to them. The meaning of these is summarized and praised as: "Having compassion for sentient beings, possessing the intention of meeting and separating, possessing the intention of not separating, I prostrate to you who have the intention of benefiting." Thus it is said. The person who is the basis of the three categories, such as liberation, is said in the Treasury: "Called the formless realm, of the three realms, those with a basis are born from the remainder of humans." Thus, there are two kinds of liberation, liberation with form and liberation without form. Among the first, liberation with form, the first of the three, the liberation of viewing form is: in order to be liberated from the obscuration that cannot be transformed or changed, the basis is based on any of the actual practices of meditation. The meaning of form is that the viewing yogi himself has not obtained the mind of the formless realm, so he has not separated from the attachment to form, or even if he has obtained it, he still abides in the attachment to form. The object is forms that are naturally appearing, etc. The aspect is viewing, that is, generating faith in whatever one desires to transform into, such as beautiful or ugly colors. The essence is truly attained, etc. The companions are those with

Etc. The second is to contemplate external forms with the perception of formlessness, and the others are the same as before. The meaning of formlessness is to obtain the mind of formlessness, and the viewer is separated from the perception of form, or even if it is not obtained, it can be established as formlessness, only the perception of the four aggregates of name. In the Abhidharmakosha, it is said: These two are the antidote to attachment to the colors of the desire realm and the first dhyana, and in order, they rely on the minds of the first and second dhyanas, and are of the nature of ugliness. As it is said: The first two of the eight liberations, ugliness exists in the two dhyanas. Third, for the liberation of beauty, the basis is the four realities of the fourth dhyana. The necessity is to strive to transform the beautiful image, and to be liberated from the obstacles arising from the all-pervasive afflictions that are inconsistent with the transformation of the ugly image. The object is to focus on the beautiful and ugly images that one likes, and rely on the perception of beauty and ugliness being mutually dependent and one being connected to the other, and finally obtain the perception that everything is of one taste, so that one rejoices in all beautiful images. Among them, the mutually dependent perception is that ugliness arises in relation to beauty, and the thought of beauty arises in relation to ugliness, not without dependence. If one sees them equally, the thought of beauty and ugliness will not arise. The mutually connected perception is that, therefore, there is ugliness in beauty, and beauty is connected to ugliness, and what is called beauty is only a fabrication, because it is the nature of thirty-six impure things such as hair. In this way, all forms are mixed together, and one rejoices in beauty becoming one taste. Why does one enter into samadhi on the liberation of form? Because although the yogi has already separated from the form that he previously coveted, he has not yet obtained the freedom to rejoice in them, and in order to obtain it, he repeatedly generates joy. The rest are the same as before. Second, for the liberation of formlessness, such as the sphere of infinite space, etc., the four are pure and in accordance with the uncontaminated liberation.
