One strives to practice. Fourth, both are obtained, and the two are mixed and equally combined. Indicating the three faculties by name are "not knowing," and so on. The way to summarize the path is: in the first fifteen moments of the mind of the path of application and the path of seeing, the five faculties, namely faith and so on; as well as mind, feeling, pleasure, joy, and the three equanimities; and the state of the path of application, which is the faculty of displeasure. The ten are called the "faculty of not-knowing-that-one-will-know" because one has entered in order to fully know the previously unknown suchness. From the sixteenth moment of the mind of the path of seeing up to the vajra-like samadhi, all the paths of learning are the ten faculties that are called the "faculty of knowing," because the previously unseen suchness cannot be known, and what has already been seen needs to be cultivated. Except for the faculty of displeasure, the nine faculties that function on the path of no-more-learning are called the "faculty of the knower," because they have the power to abide in happiness in this life and to attain nirvana. The power of cultivating the path of the higher grounds is: by cultivating the path of the higher grounds, such as the first dhyana, one can also cultivate the roots of virtue of the lower grounds, such as the desire realm, because one has the power to use those virtues of the lower grounds as one wishes. Among the two complete paths, the brief indication is that immediately after entering the vajra-like samadhi, one becomes completely exhausted, realizing the knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising, and the ten dharmas of no-more-learning are called the complete path. What is the meaning of becoming completely exhausted? It is the cutting off of all the faults that will be explained. Its meaning is that the acquisitions that will be encountered are cut off, and the acquisitions that have been separated are obtained. The ten dharmas of no-more-learning are the completion of the eightfold path, such as right view, in the continuum of no-more-learning, and liberation, which is the liberation of mind and the liberation of wisdom. Right knowledge is the realization of the knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising. Among the six extensive explanations, the first is the explanation of the faults. All the faults are twenty-four in number, namely, thus, manifest.

The fault of speech is the habit of manifest attachment to the names of all phenomena such as the eye, which has followed the alaya-vijnana from beginningless time. The fault of feeling is the habit of all contaminated feelings. The fault of afflictions and karma is the habit of that and that. The karma obscuration is that the non-virtuous karmas such as the five heinous crimes, which are born and will be experienced as a result. The vipaka obscuration is that unpleasant sounds and the paths of evil destinies are not suitable as a basis for the noble path. The fault of obscuration is that it hinders the practice of virtue and is suppressed by desire for sensual pleasures. The fault of discrimination is the obstacle to ordination, suppressed by discrimination of sensual pleasures. The fault of food is that eating too much or too little makes it impossible to practice virtue. The fault of intercourse is the physical and mental suffering caused by the union of two. The three, such as the great fault, are related to the three realms of desire, form, and formlessness, respectively. The fault of the affliction obscuration is the opposite of the enlightenment of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The obscuration of samadhi is the opposite of the nine successive abidings of gradual abiding. The fault of the knowledge obscuration is that it becomes the opposite of the omniscient wisdom. Thus, how do the individuals of the three vehicles completely cut off all these faults in accordance with their respective abilities and reach the ultimate
