If so, then all the results, such as the entering consciousness, would arise simultaneously and would never cease, because their cause is always present. If it is said that although there is the cause—the seed, it does not always arise because the co-operative condition is not present. If it is admitted that the co-operative condition also arises from a cause other than the ālaya, then it contradicts the statement that the ālaya is all seeds, and it will also harm the tenet that all internal and external formations arise from the seeds of the ālaya. If it is again said that it arises from the cause of the ālaya, then why would that which is regarded as a co-operative condition not always arise? Because the cause is always present. To this, what other answer is there other than "the second co-operative condition is not present"? To this, because only the previous permanence can always be applied, the answer is not correct. Therefore, the elements themselves are the root of all causes and conditions, and because they never cease, it necessarily follows that all internal and external results will never cease. If there is no fault in admitting the ālaya which is all seeds, then what is unreasonable for the Samkhya school, which says that the all-powerful Lord is the cause of all things? Because their ways are the same. If it is thought that the Lord is permanent and the ālaya is impermanent, so they are not the same. Then, saying that the ālaya is impermanent is just a word, and there is no reason to establish it, because the ālaya itself is not established like its establisher. Thus, it is equivalent to admitting that there is no ālaya, and because it is established that it is impermanent, it is actually equivalent to admitting that it is permanent. Therefore, the difference that the ālaya is impermanent and the Lord is permanent is also unreasonable. Therefore, there is no inference to establish this. If it is said that the scriptures such as "the realm of beginningless time" and "the taking consciousness is deep and subtle" are its establishers, then this is also not in accordance with the meaning of the scriptures, because there is no establisher.
