Then, if we say a pill possessing one, we would not say 'a pill one'. For a person possessing a stick, we say 'a person with a stick', but we have not seen saying 'a person stick'. Furthermore, numbers and rosaries, etc., are not manifestly seen as different from their respective states, nor can they be inferred from some functions. Thus, these are not established as either one or different from their respective states in reality. However, those who follow conventions apply the terms of numbers, etc., and also name them as existent. Therefore, they are called imputedly existent, existing conventionally. If it is merely imputedly existent and not truly existent, then how would it not become unconditioned, like the separately imputed cessations, etc.? Who posits the non-associated formations as aggregates? In reality, even if it is only born from causes and conditions, these phenomena that are posited as not possessing attainment, number, place, direction, time, etc., are only applied to conditioned phenomena that are of the nature of form or mind, but not to unconditioned phenomena. Therefore, non-associated formations are posited as conditioned, not as unconditioned. Thus, from attainment and the absorption of non-perception, up to place, number, and collection, these phenomena of non-associated formations are to be understood as all imputedly existent, because they are applied to states. Among these, attainment is applied to the state of increase and decrease of virtue, etc. For the state where mind and mental factors temporarily do not arise, non-perceptual absorption, cessation absorption, and non-perception are applied. For the state of existing in the same kind, the life faculty is applied. For the state of similarity, homogeneity is applied. For the state of characteristics, the four from arising to impermanence are applied. For the state of terminology, the three, such as the collection of names, are applied. For the state of not being found

Each individual is established as a separate being. In terms of cause and effect, the nine stages from entering the womb to completion are all established. Among them, from attainment to separate beings, only conditioned phenomena that are counted as sentient beings are established. The rest should be established on conditioned phenomena in general. Each of these should be understood as being explained by location, nature, and imputation. The place of attainment is the collection of virtuous dharmas such as faith, non-virtuous dharmas such as attachment, and unspecified dharmas such as crafts and conduct. Because it is not permissible to have attainment and possession for external things such as earth and stones. Because it is common to all beings, it is unreasonable to determine that "this possesses this." Whether it is cessation with discrimination or cessation without discrimination, although its nature is not considered a sentient being, the establishment of these is only preceded by belonging to the continuum of sentient beings, so the terms of attainment and so on are also reasonable for these. Nature refers to the nature of the ability of those dharmas to increase and manifest, or to decrease and not manifest, but to be able to arise without being fully exerted by birth; and those arising from exertion, to be able to arise when conditions exert. The establishment is called attainment, acquisition, and possession. Among them, attainment is a general term. What was not previously attained, the first attainment is acquisition. What is acquired continues to exist in the second moment, etc., is possession. Alternatively, all three can be used as synonyms. Attainment can also be divided into three types: seed, power, and manifestation. Attainment is also an imputed existence, not a substance. It is summarized in the Distinguishing the Definitive and the Interpretive: If attainment were to exist as a substance, then it would either be the cause of the arising of conditioned things, or the cause of not being separated from the Dharma. If it were the cause of the arising of conditioned things, then as long as that Dharma has not been attained, the cause of its arising, attainment, does not exist, so it will never arise. In this way, it will never be attained. If it is the cause of not being separated from the Dharma,
