Because of touching, the body's sense faculty itself becomes the touched. If so, then the truth is that nothing touches anything. If the self touches everything, it will become the size of a dust mote. If one part touches, the dust mote will become a dust mote with parts, and the dust mote will disappear. Therefore, when the object and the sense faculty arise without interruption, it is said that the consciousness that identifies the object touches the object, based on what it relies on. But it is not the place of those, the sense faculties. Therefore, the body's sense faculty is said to touch the elements, but not the form, etc., that are located in them, because the consciousness that identifies them does not arise based on the body's sense faculty. When the body touches a flower, its color fades, which is because the body's elements harm the elements of its location, but not because it touches the color itself. Explaining the object of the mind faculty, it is said: What is the form that belongs to the sphere of phenomena? It is said to be viewed in five ways. Among them, what arises from aggregation is the atom. Why is it called arising from aggregation? Aggregation is the collection of forms, and these are ultimately divided into atoms in the mind, and then established as atoms. Therefore, it is called arising from aggregation. Why is it said to be arising from the elements? If there are elements, there is something that can be called form. If there is something that can be called form, then it can also be established as an atom. Therefore, the term atom arises only in reliance on the elements, so it is called arising from the elements. But it is not like form, etc., where the elements provide immediate assistance to each other. This way of establishing as element-born should also be viewed in the same way for things that arise from manifest objects and proper attention. Manifest object refers to that which is separate from the tangible that prevents other things. The former is the object of eye consciousness because it is considered a distinction of appearance. The latter, because it has no appearance, is only the object of mind consciousness. What arises from proper attention is non-revealing form. So-called non-revealing form

What is this? To this, the Vaibhashikas say: 'Distraction and absence of mind, whatever is connected with virtue and non-virtue, caused by the great elements, that is called non-manifesting form.' Because it is said thus, time is when the mind is distracted and not distracted, and when the mind is present and absent, it always occurs. Its nature is to abide in either virtue or non-virtue, but there is nothing that has not been declared in this, because the cause of its arising is only the powerful manifestation of concentration and body and speech. Thus it is thought. The co-equal cause is what arises from the four great elements as the cause. Since it is form, it arises from body, speech, and mind, but it is not the action of the mind, and it is invisible and unobstructed, and it does not recognize the mind that arises from itself, therefore it is called non-manifesting. Such a non-manifesting form with such characteristics also has three aspects: belonging to the desire realm, belonging to the form realm, and being without outflows. There is nothing belonging to the formless realm, because there is no action of body and speech. That which belongs to the desire realm also has three aspects: vows, non-vows, and intermediate. Vows are the nature of abandoning the seven, the form of the stream of immoral conduct, like a water channel. Non-vows are the opposite of vows, the nature of immoral discipline, which does not appear in the continuum of those who have vows. Intermediate is the non-manifesting form that arises in those who have vows and those who do not have vows. These arise only from the cause of the manifestation of body and speech. That which belongs to the form realm is the vow of meditation, which is obtained by meditating on contaminated meditation. The uncontaminated is the vow without outflows, which is obtained by meditating on the six uncontaminated meditations. For details, it will be explained below, so it is not elaborated. Regarding this, the Vaibhashikas do not accept the substance of the non-manifesting form that arises from the aggregate, because it is not established by the three valid cognitions, but whatever action of body and speech turns into virtue and non-virtue is what is declared.
