It has been transformed. Why is that? Because all compounded forms are the common enjoyment of all the senses. That is what is said. In whatever aggregate, whatever arises from the elements and what is transformed from the elements is perceived by its respective sense faculty, then it exists in that aggregate by way of its own characteristic. Whatever is not perceived in whatever aggregate, then it may exist in it as an element, but it does not exist by way of its own characteristic, because all terms of existence are preceded by perception. Therefore, considering its own characteristic, there are also aggregates transformed from one element, such as stones and water vapor, and so on. There are also those transformed from two, such as trees. There are also those transformed from three, such as when it is moved by the wind. There are also those transformed from all four elements, such as when it is together with burning. Likewise, one should understand those transformed from the elements as is possible. As for the manner of elements, one should understand that all aggregates have all the elements and all that is transformed from the elements, because for a single aggregate, yogis who have obtained mastery over their minds can transform the form of the elements and what is transformed from the elements into whatever form they desire, and otherwise, it is unreasonable for an effect to arise from no cause. If that is so, why does everything not arise from everything? It is not so, because the conditions for simultaneous action are not present. There is no effect that arises from a contrary cause, because effects arise from the collection of causes and conditions. Otherwise, sprouts, trunks, fruits, and so on would arise merely from the seeds in the box, and therefore the effort of plowing fields, watering, fertilizing, and so on for those would be a meaningless fault. As long as a lump of iron does not meet with the elixir that turns it into gold, it will not turn into gold, but when it meets with the elixir that turns it into gold, it is seen to turn into gold. Therefore, iron has the element of gold, and it is also evident that it depends on the condition that acts simultaneously, otherwise iron is the elixir

Even if it encounters ashes, it will not turn into gold, or even if it does not encounter them, it will turn into gold, because there is such an inference. The aggregates of external forms do not have the seeds of sense organs such as eyes, which is specifically excluded here, otherwise it would lead to the emergence of previously non-existent beings. Can't yogis transform some external forms into the forms of beings such as horses and elephants? That is only transforming into the forms of horses and elephants, but it is not actually so, just like illusory horses and elephants, because they are not grasped by consciousness. The transformation of a yogi's own body into the form of another being is a being, but its sense organs are produced from the seeds of its own previous sense organs, not produced without a cause, nor produced from external seeds. The sense organs of any beings that arise from the falling of horsehair and the like in feces and the like should also be known to arise from the complete maturation of the common non-common seeds that have the Alaya consciousness. Now this should be examined: Are these elements and the matter produced from the elements really existent, or are they nominally existent? What will result from that? If according to the first case, how could it not contradict the views of the Mind-Only school? If according to the second case, then the elements and the matter produced from the elements will not become the objects of sensory consciousness, because they will become concepts with conventional objects. If according to the view that what can be analyzed and accepted by reason is considered really existent, and what cannot be accepted is considered nominally existent, then the elements and the matter produced from the elements are only nominally existent, not really existent, because they cannot withstand the power of reason that obstructs the following meaning: When six are combined into one, the minute dust will become six parts. If the six parts also occupy one position, then the aggregate will also become minute dust. According to the view that becoming the object of one's own sense organs, expressing what does not depend on other things is really existent, and depending on other things is nominally existent, then among the elements and the matter produced from the elements, some are really existent, and some are nominally existent.
