Slaves who are employed, laborers who work for a fixed period and receive wages, those who work for only a day, and even having hateful, non-virtuous thoughts towards one's own children and wives, are not; nor is it generating joyful, virtuous thoughts, but rather giving food, clothing, and the like.

Furthermore, in order to subdue the king of the Gandharvas, manifesting as a Gandharva and so on is a universal display. How are these manifestations displayed in such a universal display? Similarly, there is nothing that is ultimately accomplished; it is merely inconceivable liberation, because it is not established in its own continuum. The three realms, such as desire, have two distinctions: real and free from attachment. The first is: those in the desire realm who are fully associated with desire are: those virtuous actions with outflows that have not completely separated from attachment to desires, and all non-virtuous and neutral actions, because they are in accordance with the increasing craving for the qualities of desire, are only associated with desire. Even the first and second stages of the first dhyana's preparatory stage have not completely separated from attachment to desires, but they are not fully associated with desire, because they have abandoned the opposing factors that delight in abandonment, and thus are partially separated from attachment. If it is said that those connected to beings who have not separated from attachment to desire are in the desire realm, but not external objects, then this is because beings who have not separated from attachment to desire are accomplished by the power of karma, so there is no fault. If it is said, are not all objects and beings accomplished by karma? Because the higher realms also have the karma to generate desire in children. The basis of the realm is the consciousness of the nose and tongue, smells and tastes. The two sense bases are smells and tastes. Those are only in the desire realm because they are connected to the food of the realm. The other part of the aggregates, etc., are the two upper realms and those who have abandoned outflows. If one knows that having craving for desirable qualities is merely dharma, then one abandons the attachment that appears there. The form realm, which is fully associated with form, begins with the separation from attachment to a portion of desires, up to the point where one has not separated from attachment to form, and has not even attained the preparatory stage of the sphere of infinite space, with virtuous actions with outflows and neutral actions, etc. Although they are separated from craving for external desirable qualities, they are called fully associated with form because they have not separated from craving for the internal body with its senses. The other aggregates
