It accomplishes (this). The wisdom of conventional truth is initially divided into three types, such as the wisdom of faith. With the wisdom of ultimate truth, one knows the four truths and the reality of suchness as they are, thereby directly realizing the abandonment of the dharmas to be abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of meditation. This very wisdom of ultimate truth is divided here into seven types, such as individual self-awareness. With the wisdom of exhaustion and non-arising, one completely knows the limit of what is to be done, has certainty and no hesitation, and has no arrogance about one's own abandonment. With the wisdom of knowing others' minds, one knows whether others' minds are virtuous or non-virtuous, and thereby knows others' realms and latent tendencies as they are. With the wisdom of the ten powers, one can know all aspects of knowable things, and after knowing them, one can engage in all instructions and subsequent teachings to others, cut off all doubts of all sentient beings, and establish them in the fruits of the heavenly realms and the good destinies. This is indicated here by the name of knowing the great meaning. The necessity of these wisdoms is twofold: to accomplish one's own benefit and to accomplish the benefit of others. Among them, the wisdom of treatises that accords with the abandonment and conformity of conventional truth, and the direct realization of the wisdom of ultimate truth that manifests abandonment, such as the wisdom of direct perception and the wisdom of dharma, as well as the wisdom of exhaustion and non-arising that knows the limit of what is to be done in abandonment, these wisdoms are necessary for accomplishing one's own benefit. The wisdom of knowing others' minds, which knows the realms and latent tendencies of others, and the wisdom of the ten powers, which knows all aspects of knowable things, are both necessary for accomplishing the benefit of others. Through these, it is also shown that the number of these thirteen wisdoms is definite. In short, all these wisdoms can be summarized into two types: the wisdom of conventional truth and the wisdom of ultimate truth. In this way, the three types such as the wisdom of faith, as well as the wisdom of knowing the self of other sentient beings and the wisdom of knowing the great meaning or the ten powers, are only the wisdom of conventional truth. The seven types such as individual self-awareness are only the wisdom of ultimate truth. The ultimate wisdom or the wisdom of exhaustion and non-arising is also the wisdom of transcendence and ultimate truth when it does not completely cut off the limit of what is to be done, and when will my defilements be exhausted?

When the limit of thinking that sufferings will not arise is completely cut off, then it is conventional wisdom and also worldly. Both are only without outflows. Conventional wisdoms are only worldly, and those that exist in the continuum of the non-learner are without outflows. Those that exist in the continuum of the learner and the child are also with outflows. Knowing the great meaning is worldly and only without outflows. Those who know the ultimate meaning are only transcendental and without outflows. So, what is the nature of conventional wisdom, and what is the essence of ultimate wisdom? Both are the same in the wisdom that distinguishes all dharmas, but whichever enters the conventional realm and also enters the aspect of truth, yet distinguishes and measures the object, and establishes "this is what," that is called conventional wisdom. Whichever directly realizes the aspect of truth and does not do distinguishing and measuring, etc., that is called ultimate wisdom. Whatever is to be known is only form and other dharmas, and whoever knows is only faith-understanding wisdom and other thirteen wisdoms, when knowing in this way, one can abandon the manifest clinging to the knower through the door of hearing and thinking, and the seer through the door of meditation-born. Secondly, what is to be distinguished is non-conceptualization, etc. Among them, non-conceptualization is the five sense consciousnesses, because they do not conceptualize the object. Conceptualization is the mind consciousness, because it conceptualizes the object. The cause is the alaya consciousness, because it is the seed of all dharmas. The aspect is the afflicted mind and others other than that. The conditions are the faculties and objects. What arises from the conditions is the six aggregates of consciousness. The discordant and the antidote are the mind with desire and without desire, etc. Even with the seven subtle consciousnesses that are extremely difficult to understand, one must examine what is to be distinguished. In short, whatever is the object of those non-conceptualizations, etc., that is consciousness, that is the meaning.
