It is not so, only the second lineage is the main one, because the uncontaminated seed, as previously stated, is naturally determined separately, therefore it is possible to distinguish the three vehicles through it, and those who have it in their continuum will undoubtedly generate any of the three vehicles that are in accordance with themselves and subsequently. Therefore, in other places, in the case of determining the classification and nature of the lineage, it is this second lineage that is mainly considered, not the most important first one. Furthermore, in the Ornament for Clear Realization, from "The dharmas of realization are six," to "Without a giver of wisdom, the basis for entering is called lineage," what is said is also said only in terms of the uncontaminated seed, not in terms of the Thusness. Because, like this, it cannot be said that the Thusness is the object of those accomplishments, so it is the basis, because the realm of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, etc., would be too much of a basis for those accomplishments. It also cannot be said to be the cause and condition, because the Thusness cannot be distinguished by conditions, and if the result arises from it, then it will never be non-existent, and because it pervades everything, it would be too much to assume that everything is the object of that result. It also cannot be said to be the immediately preceding or dominant condition, because in that case, it contradicts the view that the lineage is determined only by the Thusness, not by the senses and previous consciousness, etc., and since the Thusness is not knowledge or senses, etc., it contradicts the immediately preceding and dominant condition of accomplishment. If it cannot be the basis for accomplishment through any of the four conditions, then how can it be called the basis for accomplishment? Therefore, the uncontaminated seed does not act as the causal condition for those others. Thus, the general establishment of the lineage of the noble path has been explained. Now, for those who accept the alaya-consciousness, the question of "What is the causal condition of the first noble path?" will be answered, and to that,

In the fundamental consciousness, the uncontaminated seeds that have existed since beginningless time exist naturally as the Dharma nature. This pure realm of Dharma, through hearing the corresponding Dharma, is nourished and becomes increasingly powerful. Therefore, it is capable of generating the uncontaminated path. The uncontaminated seeds, which possess power and potency, with their causal conditions, the union with the path, and the conditions of the supreme lord of Dharma, give rise to the first uncontaminated path, which is the forbearance of the Dharma-knowledge of suffering. Thus, the uncontaminated seeds, which have become powerful and potent, generate the first uncontaminated moment, while the moments between the subsequent knowledges of the path are projected, like an arrow shot that does not fall from the sky. Thereafter, the subsequent noble paths, such as the path of meditation, arise from the uncontaminated seeds left on the alaya consciousness by the previous noble paths. This should be understood. If the uncontaminated seeds are not defiled by worldly minds, how can they become the homogeneous cause of the uncontaminated path? Because the mind that opens its gateway, namely hearing and attention, although worldly and contaminated, is homogeneous with the transcendental wisdom. Because it focuses on the realm of Dharma and attends to it in the manner of aspiring to its aspect. In this way, the Tathagatas have truly realized the realm of Dharma as it is, and in order to enable others to realize it, they teach the Dharma. Therefore, the Buddha's speech is the homogeneous result of realizing the realm of Dharma. Therefore, the wisdom that follows the words of the Tathagatas and properly practices their meaning is also the same as the wisdom of realizing the realm of Dharma in terms of object and aspect. For example, a wise person who clearly manifests and understands the characteristics of a certain large city, and then describes its appearance in detail to some people who have never seen the city before, then what they understand is the same.
