Thus it is said. If what is touched by the body's sense is called the touchable, then by what touches what, that toucher should also become the touched, and the body's sense itself should also become the touchable. If it is thought so, then in reality, nothing touches anything. If the self touches all, it will become the size of a dust particle. If one part touches, then the dust particle will become with parts, and the dust particle will disappear. Therefore, when the object and the sense arise without interruption, relying on what the consciousness can identify the object, it is called touching the object. But their position is not in the senses. Therefore, the body's sense touches the elements, but not the form, etc., that are located in them, because relying on the body's sense, the consciousness that identifies them does not arise. When the body touches a flower, its color will fade, because the body's elements harm the elements of its position, but not touching the color itself. Regarding the form of the mind's object, what is the form that belongs to the dharma-sphere? As it is said in the sutra, that is observed in five ways. Among them, what is formed from accumulation is dust. Why is it called formed from accumulation? Accumulation refers to the accumulated forms, which are ultimately decomposed by wisdom, thus establishing dust. Therefore, it is called formed from accumulation. Why is it said to be formed from arising? If there are elements, then there is something that can be designated as form. If there is something that can be designated as form, then there will also arise something that can be designated as dust. Therefore, the name of dust arises only relying on the elements, so it is called formed from arising. But it is not like form, etc., that the elements will bring convenient benefits. This way of establishing as arising, for those arising from the existence of manifest occasions and truly accepting, should also be observed in the same way. The existence of manifest occasions refers to being separated from the touchable that can reject other things. The former is the object of eye consciousness because it is made as the difference of appearance. And this one is only the object of mind consciousness because it has no appearance.

Ra. That which arises from proper engagement is non-manifest form. What is meant by "non-manifest"? Regarding this, the Vaibhashikas say: "Distraction and absence of mind, Whatever is connected with virtue and non-virtue, Arising from the great elements as cause, That is called non-manifest." Thus, time is that which constantly arises in all circumstances of mind being distracted and not distracted, and of mind being present and absent. Essence is that which abides in either virtue or non-virtue, but there is nothing that has not been revealed in this, because the cause that gives rise to it is only the powerful manifestation of concentration and body and speech. Thus it is thought. The co-arising cause is that which arises from the four great elements as cause. Moreover, since it is form, it arises from body, speech, and mind, but it does not arise from the action of mind, and it is invisible and unimpeded, and the mind that gives rise to it does not perceive it, therefore it is called non-manifest. Such a non-manifest, characterized as such, is also of three kinds: that which belongs to the desire realm, that which belongs to the form realm, and that which is without defilements. There is none that belongs to the formless realm, because there is no action of body and speech. That which belongs to the desire realm is also restraint, non-restraint, and intermediate. Restraint is the nature of abandoning the seven things, like a dam that prevents the continuation of immoral conduct. Non-restraint is that which is contrary to restraint, the nature of immoral conduct, which does not appear in the continuum of those who possess restraint. Intermediate is the non-manifest that arises in those who possess restraint and those who do not possess restraint. These arise only from the cause of the manifestation of body and speech. That which belongs to the form realm is the restraint of meditation, which is obtained by meditating on contaminated meditation. That which is without defilements is the restraint without defilements, which is obtained by meditating on the six meditations without defilements. For a detailed explanation, it is not elaborated because it will be explained below. Thus, the Vaibhashikas consider that the non-manifest form realized by co-emergent wisdom is truly existent, and is the three valid cognitions.
