Then, that is because it accords with the entry of that manifestation. In accordance with that, it will thus manifestly be accomplished by the power of karma. Why is that? Because all aggregates of form are the common enjoyment of all faculties. This is what is said. In whatever accumulation, whatever of the elements and what is transformed from the elements is perceived by its own faculty, that exists for it in terms of its own characteristic. Whatever is not perceived for whatever, that may exist for it in the manner of a realm, but it is not existent by its own characteristic, because all terms of existence are preceded by perception. Therefore, in terms of its own characteristic, there are also aggregates transformed from one element, such as stones, water, wind, and so forth. There are also those transformed from two, such as trees. There are also those transformed from three, such as that moved by the wind. There are also those transformed from all four elements, such as that accompanied by burning. Likewise, for those transformed from the elements, one should also understand as is possible. In terms of realms, one should know that all the elements and all that is transformed from the elements exist in all aggregates, because for a single aggregate, yogis who have obtained mastery over their minds transform into whatever form of the elements and what is transformed from the elements they desire, and otherwise, it is unreasonable for a result to arise from no cause. If that is the case, why does not everything arise from everything? It is not so, because the conditions that produce simultaneously are not in proximity. A result that arises from an opposite cause never exists, because results arise from the collection of cause and conditions. Otherwise, sprouts, trunks, fruits, and so forth would arise merely from the seeds in the box, and therefore the effort of plowing fields, watering, fertilizing, and other conditions for those would become a meaningless fault. As long as a lump of iron does not meet with gold-transforming elixir, it will not turn into gold, but when it meets with gold-transforming elixir, it is seen to turn into gold. Therefore, iron possesses the gold

There are also cases where it is evident that it depends on the causes and conditions that act together. Otherwise, iron, even if it encounters the medicine that can turn it into gold, will not turn into gold; or, even if it does not encounter the medicine, it will become gold, which is unreasonable. What is specifically excluded here is that external aggregates do not have the seeds of sense organs such as eyes. Otherwise, it would lead to the emergence of sentient beings that did not exist before. Can yogis not transform certain external objects into the forms of beings such as horses and elephants? The answer is that it is only a transformation into the forms of horses and elephants, but it is not actually real, just like illusory horses and elephants, because it is not grasped by consciousness. When a yogi transforms his own body into the form of other sentient beings, although they are sentient beings, their sense organs are produced from the seeds of their previous sense organs, not produced without a cause, nor produced from external seeds. Furthermore, the sense organs of the sentient beings that arise from the falling of horse tails, etc., in carrion, etc., should also be known to arise from the complete maturation of the uncommon seeds that have the Alaya consciousness. Now we should examine this question: Are these elements and the matter produced from the elements truly existent, or are they nominally existent? What difference does it make? If it is the first case, then how can it not contradict the view of the Mind-Only school? If it is the second case, then the elements and the matter produced from the elements will not become the objects of sensory consciousness, because they must be concepts with conventional objects. Answer: If, according to the saying that what can withstand rational analysis is truly existent and what cannot withstand rational analysis is nominally existent, then the elements and the matter produced from the elements are only nominally existent, not truly existent. Because "When six are combined at once, the subtle particles are divided into six parts; if the six are combined into one, the aggregate will also become a subtle dust," etc., cannot withstand the rational power of refuting these views. What is within the realm of one's own senses, can be expressed and does not depend on others is truly existent, and what depends on others is nominally existent.
