Thus, whatever is named aggregates, etc., such as the sphere of infinite space, etc., is included in any one of the aggregates of form, etc., is called included in one part. Thus, the aggregate of ethics is included in one part of the aggregate of form, by the actions of body and speech. The aggregates of concentration and wisdom are included in one part of the aggregate of formation. The realms of desire, malice, and harm are included in one part of the realm of dharma. The sphere of infinite space, etc., is included in one part of the sphere of mind and dharma. That which is included in all is the aggregate of suffering, which is the dharma included in the aggregates, etc., the realm of desire, the sphere of non-perception, etc., whatever is named aggregates, realms, and spheres, all of which are included in the aggregates, etc., mentioned here, are called included in all. Thus, the aggregate of suffering is included in all five aggregates of appropriation. The realm of desire is included in all eighteen realms. The sphere of non-perception is included in all ten spheres that are perceived in form, except for the sphere of smell. One is included in one, starting from the base, the way in which the five aggregates are temporarily included in the realms and spheres is, for example, the aggregate of form is included in which realms and spheres, etc., it is easy to understand. Secondly, the way in which the eighteen realms are included in the aggregates and spheres is, for example, the eye realm is included in which aggregates and spheres, etc. Thirdly, the way in which the twelve spheres are included in the aggregates and realms is, for example, the eye sphere is included in which aggregates and realms, etc. Fourthly, other categories are also included there, just as the three dharmas are mutually included, so among the aggregates, etc., mentioned here, the dharma with a different name is explained by the name of the aggregate of dharma, and the sixty-two realms shown in the Sutra on the Manifestation of Realms, and whatever is explained by the name of the sphere of exhaustion and subjugation, etc., and whatever is not explained by the name of the aggregate, realm, and sphere, such as.

From things that exist substantially and those that exist imputedly, up to those that are superior and those that are not, how should all of these be connected and harmonized with the aggregates and so forth? This has already been explained in detail in the previous section on distinctions. As for being included by ultimate truth, the subject is that the aggregates and so forth are included by the suchness of reality. This is because those aggregates and so forth do not go beyond the suchness that is the nature of being red and without self. Furthermore, inclusion in accordance with worldly conventions can be viewed in six ways. What are these? Inclusion by the basis of location is like people being included by Jambudvipa (Rose Apple Island), or wild animals being included by solitary places. Similarly, it should be understood that the eye and so forth include eye consciousness and so forth. Inclusion by binding is like rope and so forth binding and tying firewood and so forth; similarly, the physical faculty binds the other faculties such as the eye and so forth. Inclusion by concordant meaning is like people who are of one mind and have all their needs in common relying on each other; similarly, the mind and mental factors that arise for the same object, being mutually compatible and connected, also include each other. Inclusion by close grasping is like a master completely possessing servants and so forth; similarly, the alaya consciousness grasps the body. Inclusion by non-separation is like a vase holding water; similarly, samadhi holds other minds and mental factors on the object. Inclusion by manifest inclusion is like the ocean including all the waters; similarly, the aggregate of form includes the eye and so forth. Here, from the perspective of manifest inclusion, it should be understood that there are eleven types of inclusion, as explained in the commentary. Third, the benefit of being skilled in inclusion is that one obtains the benefit of manifestly focusing the mind on the object. Because when one is skilled in inclusion, one understands that other phenomena are also included by one phenomenon, therefore, focusing on one phenomenon also becomes focusing on all phenomena. The more one is able to focus on manifest inclusion, the more the roots of virtue of shamatha and vipashyana will manifestly increase from higher to higher.
