When knowing, abandon the manifest clinging to the sole self that is unmixed with the three realms. Sole means unmixed or pure. 'Coming into being,' etc., is divided into eight categories. Briefly, 'coming into being' refers to the past and present, because they have already arisen from causes and conditions. One aspect refers to the future and the unconditioned. When knowing that what arises from causes is not a substantial entity but merely dharma, then abandon manifest clinging to that self. Furthermore, there are twenty-four categories of 'coming into being': First, 'coming into being' is that which arises at the time of joining the continuum of rebirth at the time of birth. 'Continuous coming into being' is that which arises from then until death. 'Increasing coming into being' refers to sleep, food, celibacy, and meditative absorption, i.e., that which arises from the four causes that increase the elements of the body. 'Dependent coming into being' refers to the inner faculties. 'Changing coming into being' refers to the change in the faculties in accordance with the arising of feelings such as happiness. 'Ripening coming into being' refers to the stage of aging. 'Declining coming into being' refers to dying and transmigrating from a happy realm to a bad realm. 'Distinguished coming into being' refers to the opposite of that. 'Luminous coming into being' refers to being completely deceived by celestial demons, as well as causing displeasure, as well as the pleasures of illusion, as well as the subjugation of others' illusions, as well as those who practice in the form and formless realms, in order, for the sake of increasing joy, as well as enjoyment, as well as empowering oneself over the abiding in meditative stabilization. 'Non-luminous coming into being' refers to those that are not that. 'All-pervading coming into being' refers to that which arises in the state of walking. 'Coming into being with seed' refers to all except the final aggregates of an Arhat. 'Coming into being without seed' refers to the final aggregates of an Arhat. 'Coming into being for the sake of image, mastery, and definite indication' refers, in order, to the image corresponding to knowable objects such as skeletons, as well as the form of the sphere of activity of meditators of liberation, as well as the forms of the Tathagatas. 'Coming into being from one life to another' refers to coming into being through the continuum of lifetimes. 'Coming into being after a moment's destruction'
