From the word "and", in order to abandon all views and perspectives on turning the wheel of Dharma, even when teaching the Dharma to all sentient beings, it is done in a non-attached manner. Therefore, it is called a great Bodhisattva. Abandoning all unfavorable aspects is called great abandonment. The third is great realization: the Bhagavan's Bodhicitta, the unequal and equal mind, the mind that is not common to all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, the mind that is without outflows and does not belong to the three realms, because its nature is emptiness, therefore there is no attachment, and therefore it is counted as great Bodhi. Here, the noble one says that the unequal is the Buddha, and equal to that is the mind, etc., which is explained as great realization. This is also explained as the realizations included in the three: application, seeing, and meditation, starting from the initial arising of the mind of expression. In the Ashtasahasrika, the Bhagavan's Bodhicitta is the mind of all aspects of omniscience, the mind of unequaledness, the unequal and equal mind, the mind that is not common to all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. In the Great Commentary, the Bodhicitta is the nature of aspiration and engagement, the mind of omniscience is included in the ground of adhimukti-carya, the mind without outflows is included in the seven grounds of application, the mind of unequaledness arises from the eighth ground and so on as vipaka, and the unequal and equal mind belongs to the Buddha ground, having abandoned all obscurations. Alternatively, the Bodhicitta is the nature of the unborn, the mind that has transformed into the nature of Bodhi. It is also the conventional truth of yogis, associated with mirror-like wisdom and so on, and through some negative aspects, it is explained as the four kinds of omniscient wisdom and so on. Therefore, great realization includes all realizations of the cause and effect stages. The third is the determination of number: In the Great Commentary, it says, therefore, it should be known that in order to gain victory over the unvanquished, and in order to be in accordance with the Dharma, three kinds of actions of the Bodhisattva have been shown. The meaning is that the king towards the other side...

The purpose of engaging in battle to destroy an army is definitely threefold. Namely, to destroy the enemy of discord, to obtain special recognition of territories and so on, and for oneself to become the unparalleled supreme. It is for the sake of these three things that these three actions are undertaken. Similarly, for the purpose of entering into the practice of Bodhisattva, there are also three things: to abandon all discordant sides, to realize all the qualities to be attained, and through possessing these two, to become the supreme of all sentient beings. Therefore, there are only these three purposes. Fourth, the determination of the order is: because the purpose is the most important, the great mind is shown first. And because it is obtained by abandoning all discordant sides, the great abandonment is shown below. And because it cannot be abandoned without great realization, the great realization is shown later, and this is the order of the teaching. Fifth, the Arya-Vimoksha-Sangha says: Just as shooting an arrow at a target, at that time one focuses on the nearby target, and later the distant target is the purpose. Thus, understanding the aim without reversing it is for the sake of attaining the purpose as stated above in the future. The second is, to know, where is this purpose? Through what does it arise naturally? Through the self-born Bodhicitta. Through what path? Through the three great ones. What are those three? The great mind of the supreme of all sentient beings, the great abandonment, and the great realization. The third is the explanation: To be known, where? In the three purposes. For whose purpose? For the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who will appear in the future. Through what path will one become a Buddha? Through "in all aspects" and so on. Why are there three purposes? Because one possesses the three great entrances into practice based on what. Why is that? Because after one has realized the great mind of the supreme of all sentient beings, all other sentient beings also do not conform to the great mind of the supreme of the great aggregates and great classes of sentient beings.
