It is the understanding of the essence itself. The object of the medium forbearance is: In the ultimate sense, due to the very nature of non-arising, form and so on do not arise as the nature of all afflictions. Nor is there passing beyond suffering in the nature of complete purification. This is called the object of the medium forbearance. The aspect is: With the body and so on, speech and mind together with their basis, in the Buddha-field, in all ways, being separated from discordant factors, it is the wisdom that has become the cause of what is called complete purity. Why has it become its cause? Because that wisdom of the medium forbearance only realizes the emptiness of the self-nature of all phenomena. The object of the great forbearance is: Form and so on, distinguished by the very fact that all phenomena are without characteristics in the ultimate sense. The reason for being without characteristics is: That which can become form and so on, its own characteristics and the general characteristics such as impermanence, do not exist in the ultimate sense. The aspect is: By its very nature, being separated from the support of the characteristics of form and so on, by believing in the phenomena of characteristics in the ultimate sense, not believing in the aspect of general meaning, and believing in suchness itself, therefore, without fully knowing through the aspect of direct perception, it is realized, this is called great forbearance. Secondly, the meaning of summarizing is: As explained before, there are three, small, medium, and great, therefore it becomes forbearance. Why is it called becoming forbearance? Because after obtaining this forbearance, there is no birth in the lower realms, because grasping is without self-nature, there is no fear of the great Dharma and because of belief in it. Fourth, the objects and aspects of the supreme Dharma are twofold. First, the root is: The object of the small supreme Dharma is: That which is suchness itself, form and so on that have become the nature of samadhi. The sutra says: This is the samadhi of the great Bodhisattvas, called all phenomena are unborn. Samadhi is included in the truth of the path, the supreme Dharma is focused on all four truths, therefore it is not reasonable to be an object, if you ask. Although it is so, however, here it is shown that form and so on, which are one with samadhi and emptiness of self-nature in the ultimate sense, are shown as the object by means of samadhi, depending on the intention of the trainees who are close. The great commentary says: This is suchness itself, becoming the nature of samadhi.

When focusing on forms, etc., that have become the nature of , it is said. The aspect is that when one becomes a Buddha, by the power of one's past aspirations, etc., one does not engage in samadhis such as the courageous conduct, but rather proceeds according to the capacity of those to be tamed. Thus, it is said that one focuses on the truth of reality through the door of the result. This small Dharma Supreme is called the door of the result because it is cultivated by focusing on the truth for the sake of the fruit of the specifically undertaken samadhi. The intermediate forbearance is called the door of the cause because it focuses on the truth in the manner of becoming the cause through the complete purification of the body, etc. The sutra states: "The samadhi by which one experiences the sphere of activity of all samadhis is called the samadhi of courageous conduct." Thus it is said. The object of the intermediate is that the difference of the cause of prophecy is that it focuses on forms, etc., that are intrinsically inseparable from the wisdom of the intermediate Dharma Supreme and ultimate reality. In the Great Commentary, it says: "Because it focuses on the special forms, etc., of the cause of prophecy." Thus it is said. The sutra states: "Shariputra! Those who abide in these samadhis of the great bodhisattvas, those also have been prophesied by the Buddhas of the past to be unsurpassed perfect enlightenment." Thus it is said. The aspect is: "I am in equipoise." Thus, in the three spheres, it is the wisdom in which the arrogance of conceptual thought has been exhausted. Therefore, one does not truly see the samadhi. "I enter into equipoise. I shall enter into equipoise. I have entered into equipoise," thus it is said, meaning there is no becoming of an arrogant mind. The object of the great is that the three, the object of meditation, the act of meditation, and the meditator, are empty in ultimate reality, and the forms, etc., that are distinguished by being of the same nature with each other. The sutra states: "Shariputra! Thus, prajnaparamita is also other, samadhi is also other, bodhisattva is also other, and there is no such thing as saying." The aspect is that the samadhi of the great Dharma Supreme, its own nature does not conceptualize in any extreme. "Endowed with life, Subhuti! Do you perceive this samadhi as a consciousness?" He replied: "Endowed with life, Shariputra! I do not perceive it as a consciousness." Thus it is said. The summary of the general meaning is that, in the manner described above, the decisive division
