Abandoning the extremes of existence and annihilation, without pride in the exhaustion of defilements, one skillfully teaches the Middle Way. By benefiting sentient beings in this manner and perfecting the accumulations, these become the causes for perfecting omniscience. These six are all of the nature of conventional wisdom, therefore they are merely worldly. The first five, existing in the continuums of children and learners, are tainted. Those existing in the continuums of non-learners are solely untainted. The sixth exists solely in the continuums of non-learners, therefore it is solely untainted. The first three are solely direct perception, not wisdom. The latter three are both direct perception and wisdom, because they are the antidotes to the obscuration of the three times. The fourth, the meaning of words, is that yogis who possess these, when the time is right, either reveal it closely, or universally benefit others, or because they directly know how to ask questions, answer questions, it is called direct knowledge. The fifth, the necessity, is that without focusing on ultimate truth, but knowing the characteristics as they are in conventional truth, and practicing accordingly, one benefits sentient beings through these means and perfects the accumulation of omniscience. The ninth is the instruction on the path of seeing, which is the antidote to what is to be abandoned, the imputed: Instruction. Where is the instruction? On the path of seeing. In what manner? In a manner that does not deviate from the two truths, without focusing on ultimate truth, but contemplating in conventional truth. Regarding this, by which individual, by which path, and as an antidote, what is to be cultivated of what is to be abandoned, these three. The first is, the yogi, like a magician who does not cling to the horses, cattle, etc., that he conjures as real, is a being or nature that does not have manifest clinging to all phenomena. What is not manifestly clinging? It is realizing that all phenomena are without inherent existence. The second is, the path of seeing, which is gathered from the truths such as suffering, each truth having four: forbearance of knowledge of dharma, forbearance of subsequent knowledge, knowledge of dharma, and knowledge of subsequent knowledge, being the nature of sixteen moments. The third is, the object to be abandoned by the path of seeing, which is the imputed

It is indeed true. The Sutra says: "Let Subhuti and other great Bodhisattvas generate confidence starting from the Prajñāpāramitā." Why does the Bhagavan speak from the mouth of others? It is because it is to make others also attain that meaning, it is a manifestation of one's own conduct, and to abandon the fault of not being worthy of clinging to oneself. Why does he speak from the mouth of the Shravakas? It is to know that they have attained blessings. Why does he speak from the mouth of the Venerable Subhuti? Because he is the supreme of those without afflictions, because he is the best among those who are equal in being free from afflictions, therefore it is to proclaim the Dharma that is in accordance with the Path of Seeing, this is from the commentary "Sunlight". The meaning of the answer to the first question is: Subhuti is able to proclaim the Path of Seeing of the Great Bodhisattvas because of the power of the blessings of the Tathagata, which caused the realization of knowing the meaning of the Path of Seeing of the Bodhisattvas as it is to arise in his continuum. If it were not so, he would not be able to proclaim it correctly. Therefore, when the abandonment and realization arise in the continuum of others, those will become the objects to be abandoned. Therefore, it will be known that the Tathagata is a reliable person who proclaims the Path of Seeing. The meaning of the second question is: Because even the dull-witted Shravakas can be blessed to realize the profound meaning, therefore they are those who have attained blessings. The meaning of the third question is: The Path of Seeing is only Samadhi, not only in its own nature, but also from the perspective of the continuum, it is not mixed with afflictions. Other Arhats, although they have abandoned afflictions, may still engage in the misconduct of the three doors because the latent tendencies have not been completely abandoned. But Subhuti, because the latent tendencies of afflictions have been completely abandoned, it is impossible for the misconduct of the three doors to occur. He thought that he could proclaim the Dharma that is in accordance with the Path of Seeing and is not mixed with opposing factors. Tenth, instructing on the Path of Meditation as the antidote to the co-emergent objects to be abandoned: Instructing. Where to instruct? On the Path of Meditation. How is the method? Not deviating from the two truths, not focusing on the ultimate truth, but meditating on the conventional truth. This is the way of proclaiming. Here, the nature of the Path to be meditated upon.
