As previously stated. Second, regarding the origin of suffering, there are also two aspects. The first is: The formations that produce suffering should be abandoned through the perspective of faults such as causes. Among these, because it is the root of the suffering of samsara, it is the cause; because it causes the body to arise from material kinds, it is the origin; because it arises intensely, it is the arising; because it continuously gives rise to birth, it is the condition. If suffering should also be abandoned, why is it said that only the origin of suffering should be abandoned? Because if the origin of suffering is not abandoned, suffering cannot be abandoned. If the origin of suffering is abandoned, there is no need to separately abandon suffering. As it is said in the Compendium: The truth of the origin of suffering is included in the truth of suffering. Even though the truth of suffering has been fully understood, it is still related to the truth of the origin of suffering, therefore the truth of the origin of suffering is to be abandoned. Thus it is said. The second is: Afflictions and the actions that arise from the power of afflictions. Afflictions are the cause of suffering, and actions are the reason. The nature of these two should be understood from the treatises of the Extensive Manifest Knowledge. Third, regarding the cessation of suffering, there are also two aspects. The first is: The separation of abandoning all suffering, cessation, etc., should be realized through the perspective of the benefits of the result. That is, cessation by abandoning all afflictions, pacification by abandoning all suffering, there is nothing more desirable than that, therefore it is excellent. Having reached there, it does not regress, and it is permanent and virtuous, therefore it is definite liberation. Here, because it definitely liberates, "definite liberation" is the aspect of cessation related to action, and because it definitely liberates by this, "definite liberation" is the aspect of the path related to the agent. If the path should also be realized, why is it said that only cessation should be realized? Because children grasp onto the aggregates as self, and because of the fear of its cessation, they become afraid of the cessation of all suffering, and therefore do not rely on the means to attain it. When the cessation of all suffering being completely pacified is solemnly shown as something to be realized, they will not be afraid of cessation, but will joyfully accept it, and will strive to find the means to attain it, therefore it is said that cessation should be realized.

Because the noble ones see the nature of aggregates, arising, etc., as they are, while children do not. Therefore, it is called the Noble Truth. As it is said in the sutra: Children are like the palm of the hand, They do not understand even a hair of the suffering of formations. The noble ones are like the eye, Therefore, they generate great disgust. Why is it called Truth? In summary: Because it does not contradict the teachings, and seeing it leads to purification, it is called Truth. As it is said. The meaning of being in accordance with the teachings is that suffering, etc., as taught, even if analyzed by those who follow reason, remains as it is and cannot be changed in its form. Third, the number is definite: All of these are determined as two parts: that which should be abandoned, which is completely afflicted, and that which should be adopted, which is completely purified. And each of these is also determined as two parts: cause and effect. Therefore, in the Four Truths, the number of things is definite. Fourth: The order of these truths is taught in accordance with the order of realization. Thus, suffering should be known like an incurable disease, so it is taught first. Arising should be abandoned like the cause of disease, so it is taught second. Cessation should be realized like the absence of disease, so it is taught third. The path should be relied upon as a means to that, like good medicine, so it is taught last. Or, considering by what one suffers, how one becomes suffering, by what one becomes happy, and how one becomes happy, the truths are arranged in order. Thus, it is also said in the summary: The order of explanation of these four noble truths is also that by what one becomes suffering is the first. How one becomes suffering is the second. Compared to the black side, by what one becomes happy is the third. How one becomes happy is the fourth, like disease, its cause, absence of disease, and medicine. Another way is to arrange the order of the truths according to the order in which worldly beings arise suffering. Thus, worldly beings are first suffering.
