It is the opposite side. Bodhisattvas, being embraced by skillful means and wisdom, are to be taken as the antidote, hence they are the side of the antidote. Here, the path of Hearers and Solitary Realizers is shown as the basis of knowledge of clinging to characteristics. Nowadays, others consider the nature of clinging to characteristics not to be so. If Hearers and Solitary Realizers also cling to the characteristics of impermanence etc. in meditative equipoise, then because of having conceptualization, they will not directly realize the true nature of impermanence etc. As it is said: "Connected with conceptual thought, it is not a clear appearance of the meaning." Because it is impossible for conceptual thought to clearly manifest the object. In this way, it would also be impossible to abandon the obscurations of afflictions. Therefore, Hearers and Solitary Realizers directly see the meaning of impermanence etc. in meditative equipoise, so they do not cling to it as a characteristic. However, they do not treat clinging to impermanence etc. as a Dharma as an antidote, because previously, during hearing and thinking, they have not determined that Dharma is without inherent existence, and because they have not made it familiar through meditation, so in the post-meditation period, they will give rise to having the characteristic of clinging to the characteristics of impermanence etc. Therefore, it is not because they are bound by clinging to characteristics that they become the basis of knowledge of clinging to characteristics, and become the nature of clinging to characteristics. What Bodhisattvas abandon also tends towards that part of clinging to characteristics, but they do not abandon the opposite of the conceptualization of impermanence etc. as the nature of the path, because that is to generate even more excellent qualities in their own mindstream. Fourth, in this way, the basis of knowledge of Bodhisattvas is free from clinging to characteristics, and the arising of Hearers and Solitary Realizers in connection with clinging to characteristics is also because Bodhisattvas cultivate yoga by preventing attachment to the nature of the basis Dharmas such as form, and the distinguishing characteristics such as impermanence etc. Hearers and Solitary Realizers do the opposite of this, and cultivate yoga through manifesting attachment to the nature of the basis and the distinguishing characteristics such as impermanence etc. Fifth, the equality of the yoga of Bodhisattvas is the prevention of self-importance in the nature of form etc., as well as characteristics, elaborations, and conceptualization. The equality of the yoga of Hearers and Solitary Realizers is the opposite of this, which is to consider form etc. as objects and subjects. Sixth, the path of seeing of Hearers etc., some scholars etc. do not include

Therefore, since it enters the supreme sound of Ati, it teaches that the path of the Hearers' Seeing is the supreme path, and therefore realizing the Seeing Path is the supreme of the six dharmas. So it is said. Here, what is the Seeing Path that is covered by the summary teaching? Is it the Hearers' path that is indirectly indicated, or is it the Bodhisattva's path that is directly taught? If it is the former, then in the detailed explanation of the branches, it should also directly teach that path, because the body and the branches must be consistent. If it is the latter, then it is not appropriate to mention Hearers. If someone says that, although the former ones have not studied this, I think that the Hearers' path is taken indirectly. However, for that, the fault mentioned above cannot be avoided, and abandoning the direct teaching and holding onto the indirect indication is beyond the custom of the wise. Therefore, here, the directly taught Seeing Path, which is the antidote to the sixteen pairs of imputation and denial, is taken here, and that itself is called the Seeing Path of the Bodhisattvas by the Hearers and others, because the Seeing Path of the Bodhisattvas is real, and the Seeing Path of the Hearers is the inducer. Therefore, it reverses the Seeing Path of the Hearers, because it is known to be taught. Here, the word Hearers is added, because here, when the path of form being impermanent and not non-impermanent, etc., is taught as the Seeing Path of the Hearers, it becomes easy to understand that it is not the real Seeing Path of the Hearers, so it is taught in a way that it is reversed, and it will become understandable in meaning. Therefore, when in the chapter of the Basic Wisdom, it is understood that the Seeing Path of the Bodhisattvas is taught directly, and it is taught in the way of reversing the Hearers, then in the application and, equality and, wisdom not abiding in existence, etc., wherever the path of the Bodhisattvas is taught directly and the Hearers' path is not taught, it is also known to be taught in the way of reversing. Therefore, in the commentary, it is said: In the chapter of All-Knowingness, it is taught by reversing. If it is not like that, since there is no proof of teaching the Hearers' path in the chapter of All-Knowingness, it would become unreasonable to say that. Therefore, the word Hearers in this context has a great meaning, but in the past, it was only a repetition of sound, and the meaning was not understood. Second, it is considered to be like this in All-Knowingness. Like this, etc. To this, the wisdom of the Buddha
