If it is certain, then with respect to the conditions for a Mahayana lineage individual to attain Buddhahood, it is certain that there are eight. Like this, with respect to the object of knowledge, the means of practice, and the fruit to be attained, there are three, four, and one respectively. Why are three, such as the object of knowledge, needed? If the object of knowledge is not initially determined, one does not know how to practice the means, just as if one does not know how to farm, one cannot actually do it. After that, if one does not practice the means, one cannot obtain the fruit, just as without farming there will be no harvest. If there is no fruit to be attained, then practicing the means is meaningless, just as if the harvest is ruined by hail. Therefore, the conditions for attaining Buddhahood are certainly the three, such as the object. If one thinks, why are three needed for the object to be determined by the wisdom of listening and contemplating? If the uncommon fruit to be attained, omniscient wisdom, is not shown, one will not diligently engage in its cause. Therefore, omniscient wisdom is shown. Even if one knows that, if one does not know its uncommon cause, one cannot practice it. Therefore, the wisdom of the path is shown. Without fully understanding the basis, one cannot understand the path well. Therefore, showing the understanding of the basis itself. If one thinks, why are four trainings needed for practice? With respect to controlling cause and effect and stabilizing cause and effect, like this, in order to control, relying on the three unborn, and diligently habituating oneself, if there is no yoga of all aspects, the spontaneously accomplished peak yoga will not arise, and without that, one cannot abandon the opposing factors of afflictions and conceptual thoughts. Among them, the ordinary all aspects and the non-special peak yoga below the eighth ground are the antidotes for abandoning the coarse conceptual thoughts of afflictive obscurations and grasping at subject and object. The special all aspects and the special peak yoga above the eighth ground are the antidotes for destroying the subtle habitual tendencies of conceptual thoughts. Therefore, the nature of controlling cause and effect, all aspects and the peak, is the yoga of abandoning opposing factors. Even if the opposing factors have been abandoned, in order to bring the power of wisdom to the ultimate

Therefore, if there is no gradual yoga that repeatedly manifests the qualities previously experienced in the manner of reviewing without interruption, then the momentary yoga that can manifest all dharmas of the same kind when one dharma is manifested will not arise. Without it, the omniscient wisdom of complete enlightenment, which perfectly manifests all dharmas in a single moment, will not arise. Therefore, stability is the gradual nature of cause and effect, and the momentary is the yoga of manifesting qualities. Thus, realization is eightfold. Second, the definite order is: If the three wisdoms of the knowable realm are not determined by listening and thinking, one cannot practice the application, so first the three wisdoms are taught. Among them, since the result is taught, the bodhisattva who seeks its meaning will enter its cause, such as generating the mind, etc., so first omniscience is taught. Moreover, this is not without knowing the path of the three vehicles, so after that, the path wisdom itself is spoken of. Moreover, this is not without completely knowing all bases, so after that, the base wisdom itself is spoken of. Even if the three wisdoms are determined by listening and thinking, if one does not practice the application, one cannot manifest them, so after that, the four applications are taught. Among them, in order to abandon the unfavorable aspects, the cause and effect of mastery are first taught, and in order to manifest the qualities, after that, the two of stability, cause and effect, are taught. Thus, when the application reaches its culmination, one will perfectly attain Buddhahood in the Dharmakaya, so the Dharmakaya is taught last. Thus, the three wisdoms are the order of teaching, and the four applications together with the Dharmakaya are the order of meaning. Second, explaining the body in a slightly expanded way is divided into three: explaining the three wisdoms, the four applications, and the Dharmakaya in a slightly expanded way. The first of the three is divided into four: the nature of omniscience with four dharmas and ten meanings, the way of teaching omniscience with it, the number, and the definite order. The first is further divided into two: intention and application. The first is: generating the mind of perfect enlightenment, which has the essence of emptiness and compassion, wanting to attain Buddhahood, so first generating the two aspects of the mind of enlightenment.
