The pure conduct of body and speech is the nature of discipline. Being the basis of Samadhi and wisdom is the center. Because Samadhi focuses on the object of attention and the mind holds it, it is like a rim, so it is said to be similar to a wheel. As it is said in the Abhidharmakosha, "The wheel of Dharma is the path of seeing, because of the spokes, etc., of rapid progress, etc." In reality, there are two natures of the wheel of Dharma: the wheel of Dharma of scripture and the wheel of Dharma of realization. The first is all the scriptures contained in the twelve branches of scripture and the three pitakas. The second is the nature of the path, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and so on. These are like the precious wheel, which transfers to other places and overcomes opposing forces. Similarly, it gradually transfers to the student's continuum and overcomes opposing forces such as desire. Because the wheel of Dharma is similar to the Dharma, it is called the wheel of Dharma. The second is, the Buddhas, Shravakas, and so on. If someone asks, because the Pratyekabuddha does not belong to the retinue of the Buddha, he should not be turned by him, the answer is: there is no fault. Because in the last life, even if he does not belong to the retinue of the Buddha, he is also born from the grace of the Buddha, so he should belong to his retinue. As it is said in the Bodhicaryavatara, "The Shravakas and middle Buddhas are all born from the Victorious One." Therefore, it is said so. The fourth is refutation and response. The first of the two responses is that, after prostrating in this way through the three wisdoms, it is equivalent to silently vowing to write treatises on these topics. Therefore, if one writes the Abhisamayalankara, which is preceded by prostration and praise as mentioned above, then, in order to generate wisdom that is good at distinguishing all dharmas, or to abandon opposing qualities, or to know all knowable things, one should take any of these bases, antidotes, or aspects as the subject. If, according to the first method, the base is summarized for the purpose of generating wisdom, then the effort to write this treatise is meaningless, because it repeats the Abhidharma. Because in this way, from the Abhisamayalankara Prajnaparamita, one can determine the treatises on the self-characteristics and general characteristics of all dharmas, that is, the Abhidharma Pitaka.

From the aspects of (skandhas, dhatus, and ayatanas), the basis that is not explained is because it does not arise. Secondly, if you want to include all antidotes in the content to be explained in order to abandon the opposing side, then do you explain it together with the opposing side? Or do you only explain the separate antidote? If it is like the first case, then it is contradictory to compose a treatise to explain the antidote. If it is like the second case, then it will not be understood what that antidote is for, because it only includes the pure dharma of the antidote, and does not include the afflictive dharma in all the opposing sides. Here, if the predecessors explain together with the opposing side, then pointing out the faults of manifestation and repetition is the same for oneself. If you say that according to their view, it is not only explaining the basis, then it is the same here, because it is explaining together with the antidote. Therefore, if the basis is also explained, then it is contradictory that what is to be expressed here is the antidote. This is what it says. Thirdly, in order to know the knowable, all aspects are included. If the aspect including the basis is included, then it is contradictory to only explain the aspect. If the aspect without the basis is included, then it is meaningless, because it does not explain any meaning that is useful to people, because it only includes the aspect of determining the basis, and it is impossible to understand the meaning from there. In this way, because the aspect is not related to the basis, it is impossible to cut off the imputation of the opposite side, so it is impossible to understand the meaning of reality. Apart from these three, it is impossible to include other contents to be explained, so it is thought that composing a treatise is meaningless. Wouldn't others think so? Secondly, there are four aspects: citing the knowledge of the sutras as a basis, explaining the meaning of the sutras, and summarizing the meaning. The first aspect is: only including any one of the basis, antidote, and aspect of the ornament in the content to be explained is not as faulty as previously stated, because the three aspects of basis, antidote, and aspect all include the content to be explained of the ornament. The reason is that it includes all the direct realizations of the Four Noble Ones. This is pervasive, because the direct realizations of the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas are, in order, the realization of the selflessness of the three of basis, antidote, and aspect. Therefore, when explaining these, it is also necessary to explain the object of focus, basis, antidote, and aspect. The reason is established, because it includes the three wisdoms. That reason
