Because all forms, smells, etc., cannot be cognized by measurement. If there is no remainder, then there is no distinction in perceiving the lower weight, so why only negate weight? The reason that "there is no distinction in perceiving the lower weight" is the subject. It is not appropriate to only negate the qualities that do not exist in the limbs, namely weight. Because the weight that does not exist in the limbs can be approximately represented, thereby negating all the qualities that do not exist in the limbs. Therefore, a lump of clay made by gradually mixing multiple clay balls is the subject. There is absolutely no remainder of its own qualities that do not exist in its limbs, namely form, smell, etc. If it exists, then it should be seen by the direct perception of the self-cognizing sense, just like its own nature, but it is not seen. Now, as mentioned earlier, through this reasoning, in debate, one should understand how harm arises from the opponent's apparent commitment through admissions, etc. In debate, since the opponent's commitment may be harmed by prior or subsequent admissions, as well as the direct or indirect meanings of one's own words, direct perception, inference, and reputation, etc., one should understand as much as possible the ways in which harm occurs when harm is caused from commitment to admission, etc. Where to start? One should understand the examples of causing harm to the commitment to negate the distinctions of the Vaibhashika's dharmas, through the methods described in detail earlier. In the Pramanavarttika, the examples of causing harm to the commitment to negate the distinctions of the Vaibhashika's dharmas are explained in detail, which is necessary. Because through you, it can be inferred that in debate, for the opponent's commitment, one should understand as much as possible the examples of causing harm through admissions, etc., this is to explain this. They show the definition of the proponent's own thesis and wish to negate the definition of the thesis of other schools, so in the Abhidharmasamuccaya it says: The logicians say that the so-called "showing the thesis" is: not established and meaningful. If so, then the example and reason, when stated without being established, will become a fallacy. It is explained that the logicians say that showing the thesis is a commitment, therefore, the word thesis is the thesis. You should show the opponent or the later opponent all the meanings of the thesis of the reason. You should show the later opponent

If by anything that shows the meaning of what is to be proven as a reason, because you (as a reason) are limited by the function of the three times, if you think so. If other examples and reasons are established, just like sound is permanent, being apprehended by eye consciousness, like this, the example and reason being established as a proponent is not established, as the subject of the proposition. When you are establishing the proponent, even if the opponent does not admit it as what is to be proven, it should become what is to be proven. Because you will be the meaning of what is to be proven as a reason for the future opponent. If you say that the sound of what is to be proven only shows what the opponent now admits as what is to be proven, so there is no fault. Then, the sound of what is to be done as what is to be proven, as the subject of the proposition. The difference admitted by the opponent does not completely depend on what is now admitted as what is to be proven. Because at the time of cognition, all things that are not established by the external opponent are cognized. Therefore, Master Dignāga of the Pramāṇasamuccaya, for saying that showing what is to be proven is the nature of the proposition, and taking the statement of the example and reason that are being established as examples of refutation is reasonable. Because the sound of what is to be proven shows everything that has not yet been established by the external opponent at the time of cognition, therefore it is shown in this way. If the sound of what is to be proven shows everything that has not yet been established by the external opponent at the time of cognition, instead of showing all other things that have not been established, then all things that have not been established, such as rabbit horns and the children of barren women, should become what is to be proven, and it is reasonable to raise this fault. If you say that the example and reason not being established is not what is to be proven, because it is not an action, and that statement is not a branch of the proposition, and it is not the non-establishment in the case of the four tenets, if you say so. Then, what are the four tenets? All continuums without contradiction are the tenet of all continuums, such as establishing what is to be measured by valid cognition. Establishing in the case of similar continuums and not establishing in the case of dissimilar continuums is the tenet of each continuum, such as all things are one or different, all are permanent or impermanent. Establishing at one time and establishing at another time is the tenet of time, such as the self without sentient consciousness after death for the fruit
