Because it is not completely determined or established by valid cognition. If it is said that even if such a thing is not established by valid cognition, it is established in fact, so it can be used as a reason. Then, the thing that becomes known by consciousness is the subject, even if you are not determined or established by valid cognition, how can you become the reason for understanding one's own mind in one's own continuum? If so, it becomes necessary to be established by valid cognition, but in reality it is not established. If it is said that it is generally seen by other people, and now it is necessary to establish one's own mind in one's own continuum, and a thing that is not seen by Devadatta can be used as a reason for establishment. Therefore, knowable is the subject, and the thing that is seen by other people and not seen by Devadatta also becomes the reason for establishing one's own mind in Devadatta's own continuum. If it is said that such a thing will not be seen by Devadatta even several times, so it cannot become a reason. The thing that is seen by other people and not seen by Devadatta is the subject, even if Devadatta's own continuum is not established, it also becomes the reason for realizing one's own mind in Devadatta's own continuum. Even if it is not established, because you also have the difference of the reason that does not confuse the established dharma of establishing the self-mind of the person. Therefore, knowable is the subject, it is unreasonable to infer one's own mind from the dharma of things that do not depend on one's own nature and mind. Because things known by consciousness or not known by consciousness cannot establish consciousness in one's own continuum. If it is said that some dharmas of consciousness are reasons. Then, any dharma of one's own mind that is considered as a reason is the subject, and it becomes manifestly established in one's own continuum. Because it is the reason for establishing one's own mind from one's own continuum. It cannot be admitted, because how can there be something different from one's own mind? If it is said to be a different kind. Then, that is the subject, how can there be a different kind that is different from one's own mind? Because it is produced from the causes and conditions that are combined with one's own mind. If it is not so, then one's own mind also becomes deceptive. Because it is produced from other causes and conditions that are combined with it. If it is said that some dharmas that become the result of one's own mind are reasons. Then, one's own mind is the subject, from the five objects such as form, the five senses such as eyes, and the consciousness of the object, any one in one's own continuum

It follows that it is the fruit-sign of establishing the proponent. Because whatever is the fruit-sign of establishing that, other than those, there is no other fruit of yours that closely indicates you. For those, both the sense faculty and consciousness are the subject of debate. It follows that it is not the fruit-sign of establishing one's own mind on one's own continuum, because the sense faculty is beyond the scope of direct perception. The five objects such as form are also the subject of debate. It follows that it is not the fruit-sign of establishing form-grasping sense consciousness etc. on the continuum of a person, what need is there to mention all of you who are not? Any one of you, because there is no valid cognition that realizes the opposite of being able to arise other than in the state of arising as something that helps the sense consciousness etc. that sees forms etc. Whatever sense faculty etc. that is not known and established by valid cognition in the way described above, saying that it is a sign of establishing one's own mind on one's own continuum is nonsense, so it is refuted. Furthermore, in general, stating the sign of establishing mind on one's own continuum, even if there are speech and movement etc., according to your system, those should not be signs either, as follows: Those are the subject of debate. How can they become signs of realizing one's own mind on one's own continuum, they cannot become, because valid cognition has not seen the connection with that mind simultaneously. It is pervasive: because signs are not what make clear the phenomena that have not been seen to be connected with themselves simultaneously. If it is said that from the speech and movement etc. themselves, before establishing mind on one's own continuum, first establish the similarity of that on another's continuum by the sign of that mind, and then later say that mind is established on one's own continuum, there is no fault. Then, Lhajin (a person's name) is the subject of debate. It will become necessary to establish endlessly the similarity of establishing mind on one's own continuum by a sign, because before establishing that, it is necessary to establish the similarity on another's continuum by the sign of mind, and also for that, any of you, because valid cognition has not realized the opposite of being able to arise other than arising from the sense consciousness that sees forms etc. Because it is necessary to establish the similarity of that on another's continuum by the sign of mind. If you accept, then on one's own continuum, one's own mind will not be realized from any sign.
