Because the future is manifested and produced by the mindstream of self-nature, which has the seed of habit that can arise. Therefore, smoke, the dharma, is not established as born from fire because it is born from external fire or the appearance of fire, but because it is born from the mindstream of self-nature, which has the seed of the appearance of fire, it is established as born from fire. Therefore, for the wise Mind-Only school, even if there is no external object, it is reasonable to discuss the cause and effect of consciousness, what is to be proven, and what proves it. With this, there will be no fault in how to explain it. If there is no external object, then how can the reasoning of establishing the two aspects of mind, which relies on the external object, such as the master's saying "with the knowledge of that object," be explained? Master Dignāga, the dharma, it is necessary to discuss the reasoning of establishing the two aspects of mind based on the admission of external objects, because such a discussion is to accept those who claim that external objects exist. In fact, the two aspects of mind are also established by the certainty of co-emergent experience as mentioned earlier, that is, by the proof of definite object. They established the two aspects of mind through the reasoning of the Mind-Only school's co-emergent object determination, and also showed other reasonings for establishing the two aspects of mind from the perspective of those who believe in the existence of external objects. Knowable objects, the dharma, the mind itself is established as the two aspects of object and knowledge, because with the difference between clear and unclear sense faculties, the three kinds of consciousness, that is, the consciousness that holds the different appearances of clear and unclear, medium or intermediate, etc., all focus on the same object. If consciousness does not rely on the object and does not appear as the aspect of the object, then the shape of the object, the vase, the dharma, the mind of the object born from the difference between clear and unclear self-causes, etc., should become the same aspect as its own object, that is, the nature of the object. Because you think that the nature is the same and the appearance is constantly appearing. If consciousness is born from the object and has the aspect of the object, then it is unreasonable for one object to appear differently, because the nature of the object is the same. Sense consciousness, the dharma, arises depending on the object
