If it is said that the example is not established because it is seen in beings born as horses, cows, etc., it is not so. This is because people with eyes not deluded by mantras, medicines, etc., do not see horses, cows, etc., in that way. Although the power of mantras, medicines, etc., can cause them to be born there, there are other clear examples without a basis for delusion. For example, in a desolate plain without grass or trees, small clods of earth, etc., in the distance may appear to be as large as mountains. Therefore, the three—grasping, grasped, and consciousness—although not ultimately different entities, these terms of grasping aspect—object to be measured, grasped aspect—measuring, self-awareness—abiding fruit, are not established by the power of suchness as it is, but because they are made to appear as following the delusion of ignorance. If, in one consciousness, the arrangement is made as it appears in the delusion of the three—grasping, grasped, and consciousness—and it is not established as ultimately different, then how can the aspects of the three—grasping, grasped, and consciousness—as they appear to oneself, the object appearing as the nature of various grasping, grasped, and consciousness, the single mind of object appearance, be true? They cannot be true. If they are true, then the very nature of the non-dual consciousness of grasping and grasped being one will be destroyed. If the appearance of the three—grasping, grasped, and consciousness—is true in the nature of one consciousness, then, knowable objects, for example, feelings of pleasure and pain, which have become other entities, should also become other entities, and the state of being other entities will be destroyed, and it will not be established as other entities. For that reason. Furthermore, the appearance of the three—grasping, grasped, and consciousness—in one consciousness is not true in one nature. This is because a non-deluded mind does not see its one nature. Pervasively: If a non-deluded mind sees phenomena as one without difference, then it will be determined as one without difference. Therefore, those objects appearing as the three—grasping, grasped, and consciousness—in one consciousness, when analyzed by any reasoning, are not true in suchness, because neither the nature of one nor many is true for you. If truth and falsehood are consistent

Seeing it in oneself, etc., worldly beings are seen to give rise to illusions by clinging to what is not its own nature as its own nature. For example, just as the thought arises of mistaking fish maw for silver because fish maw and silver are similar in whiteness. However, in this Vijnanavada, there is no similarity between the truth and falsehood of what is grasped and what grasps, because in this practitioner, even the true nature of what is grasped and what grasps is not seen. Therefore, if it is said that it is unreasonable to give rise to the illusion of the difference between what is grasped and what grasps, then, although there is a conceptual illusion that depends on seeing the similarity between truth and falsehood, not all illusions are limited to that. Whatever mind that appears as different grasping and apprehended, which arises from being defiled by the imprints of inner ignorance, is the subject. It is not necessary to give rise to the illusion of the difference between grasping and apprehended, relying on seeing the similarity between truth and falsehood and the existence of false establishment of the difference between grasping and apprehended. Because, by the reason that it arises from the imprints of inner fault, ignorance, merely the establishment of its own nature is the inverted appearance of the difference between grasping and apprehended. For example, the consciousnesses that appear as two moons and hairs, etc., which are disturbed by cataracts, etc., do not rely on seeing the similarity between truth and falsehood of two moons and hairs, etc., but merely arise as illusions by the establishment of their own nature. Although in the ultimate truth, there are not three: grasping, apprehended, and consciousness in one consciousness, in the conventional truth, how the illusion appears, how the three aspects of valid cognition, result, and measurement are established. To this, the nature of mind is considered to be the aspect of grasping that is completely eliminated, is the subject. Its nature is clear and cognitive, because it is the nature of clear and cognitive. Therefore, that is the subject. Self-awareness is the valid cognition that establishes it, because for all consciousnesses, you are used as the reason for applying the name of self-awareness. Therefore, even if there is no external object, it is possible to apply the three aspects of valid cognition, result, and measurement to the nature of consciousness itself, which is clearly shown by the example known to other schools. For example, for external object proponents, on the self-aware valid cognition that experiences the mind and mental factors such as desire, when the nature of consciousness itself is taken as the object, the three aspects of valid cognition, result, and measurement are performed, just like that.
