Here too, the subject is: Just as mistaking a patterned rope for a snake or a mirage for water, even if there is a change in the senses obscured by dizziness, you would still be reversed simply by the certainty that the double moon of conceptual consciousness does not exist. Even if the obscuration of the senses caused by applying eye medicine or other causes disappears, you would not be reversed. Just as saying "There is a snake in the field" also gives rise to the perception of mistaking a patterned rope for a snake, saying "There is a double moon at some time" also plants some of its kind in the minds of others, causing it to arise. Seeing the object depends on the memory of symbols and changes. The object will not appear completely clear. Because the perception of the double moon is conceptual consciousness. If it is thought that even if the perception of the double moon is conceptual consciousness, it is non-conceptual because the object appears clearly, then the special case of "with dizziness" is mentioned to refute this idea. Whatever mind that has a clear appearance of the object in the state of sleeping or waking is the subject. It is non-conceptual, because it is something that has a clear appearance of the object. If in both of these cases, the sign is not like that, but appears unclear and mixed, then it is conceptual. Because there are non-conceptual illusions such as the appearance of a double moon, the consciousness of the appearance of a double moon is the subject. Even if it is non-conceptual, it is denied that it is itself a valid cognition, because it deceives the object as it is measured by itself. Therefore, in order to show that non-conceptual illusions such as the appearance of a double moon, even if they are non-conceptual, appear like valid cognition due to illusion, the teacher explained valid cognition by dividing it into conceptual valid cognition and obscured valid cognition. In this way, after eliminating the wrong understanding of the definition, classification, and function of valid cognition, the views of self and other schools that regard valid cognition and its result as different entities are eliminated, and the Bhagavan stated that the action itself is the agent. In the sutra of valid cognition, it says: "Because there is action, it is conceptual. The result itself is the measurer. It is established as valid cognition. It is not that there is no action." In order to explain these, the establishment of valid cognition and its result will be explained. So, what is the result of valid cognition? The object to be measured is conceptual.

Sa pa ye. That is consciousness, and also because that becomes the result, now what is valid cognition? The consciousness by which the object of measurement is realized without interruption can be established, that is valid cognition, and that also shows that it is the same as the meaning of the self-nature of consciousness, and it is not reasonable to be other things. The act of doing or generally showing the nature of what is to be established and what can be established. Knowable phenomena, just by being actions, are not all that is to be established, such as the producers or establishments of all agents, and just by being able to establish, they are not all actions, that is, not all that can be established, such as the producers and establishments of all actions, because from which agent the result can be established, which action can be established, which agent is reasonable to be the establisher of that action. In general, the nature of what is to be established and what can be established exists in that way. For this, the consciousness of the five senses is a phenomenon. One must seek the agent that distinguishes one's own actions, that is, the respective objects such as form, etc., with this consciousness one can know form, with this consciousness one can know sound, etc., the agent or valid cognition of each meaning, becoming one's own self-nature, because in the world, the consciousness that knows objects such as form, etc., any knowledge of meaning is different, if consciousness itself becomes a measure of other meanings other than itself, it cannot be established that knowing meaning with other measures is different. Moreover, even if it is its self-nature, it cannot distinguish the knowledge of meaning as different merely by the difference in the mode of grasping, because it is the nature of objects such as form, etc., which are only similar in terms of afflictions. If it is not impossible to establish that the knowledge of meaning is distinguished by consciousness that is different from the same meaning, because the cause, root, etc. can also distinguish the knowledge of meaning. The cause, root, and meaning, and the connection and attention of those, etc. are phenomena. Although you have differences in your respective natures, merely by this, you cannot determine the knowledge of the different actions, that is, the objects such as form, etc. are different, and the five consciousnesses that are not different only in terms of experience, know that the meaning is different, because it is not becoming the self-nature of consciousness, but knowing the form, etc. of the object, is the common cause of all the different knowledge of meaning. Therefore, knowable phenomena, knowledge of meaning
