When one meditates deeply on anything, and is completely familiar with that meditation, a clear and non-conceptual wisdom fruit arises, that is the conclusion. For the clear and non-conceptual wisdom that arises from meditation, it has this nature: you are the manifestation of yoga. Just as it was said in the second chapter before, through the unerring wisdom of the yogi, the true essence of the four noble truths can be directly seen, therefore, the manifestation arising from meditation is considered a reliable measure. The rest, such as remnants, etc., do not have this nature, because they are illusions arising from being deceived. Now, the explanation of "concepts are also considered self-awareness, but in reality they are not, because they are concepts" is: any conceptual knowledge is a concept that arises in dependence on the object of appearance, because it is knowledge that arises in dependence on the meaning of sound or the association of symbols. All knowledge has this nature: it is manifest in dependence on its own unique essence, because it experiences a realm that cannot be associated with the meaning of sound or cannot be associated with symbols. In the Compendium of Topics, it says: "Illusions and worldly knowledge, as well as inference and what arises from inference, memory and desire are called manifestations, as well as similarities of manifestations and vagueness." Therefore, if the similarities of manifestations are summarized, there are four types: the knowledge of illusions such as seeing mirages as water, attaching other things to meaning; worldly knowledge such as numbers and general concepts based on symbols; inferential knowledge through three-part reasoning, and the wisdom with marks arising from inference; and remembering past things and wishing for future things, these four are summarized as things with hidden meanings, therefore there are three types of conceptual knowledge. And what is indicated by "accompanied by vagueness" is non-conceptual knowledge arising from reliance on weakened sensory faculties, and all of these. Like this, from showing in general to showing separately, explaining both relying on symbols and attaching other things to meaning as similarities of conceptual manifestations, this is necessary, because they are to prove that they are not knowledge arising from the senses. The reason for doing so is because some people mistakenly think that these are sensory knowledge, even if they are sensory knowledge, it is also wrong.
