It is like seeing animals engaging in sexual activity when one has not found the opportunity to associate with women. If someone says that in the state of liberation, because the 'self' is not the basis for experiencing pleasure and pain, one does not crave the happiness of the 'self,' and therefore does not strive for the sake of the 'self.' Then, the 'self' in the state of liberation has the property that it is unreasonable to assume that the 'self' is like the 'self' clung to by the self-theorists. This is because the basis for experiencing pleasure and pain, as well as all the qualities such as names and wisdom that follow, has disappeared, just like the son of a barren woman. This is universally true, because the nature of the 'self' clung to by the self-theorists is not like that which lacks experience, etc. Therefore, anyone who desires to attain a permanent 'self' in the state of liberation has the property that it is unreasonable to assume that the 'self' will perish as the basis for experience, etc. If the 'self' perishes as the basis for experience, etc., then one should not be attached to it, and one is also an attached one. Therefore, even in the state of liberation, it must be assumed that the 'self' is the basis for experience, etc. Therefore, a person who desires liberation has the property that they remain in the state of clinging and attachment to the 'self,' because they have 'self'-grasping. This is universally true, because all 'self'-grasping is a supporting condition for attachment to the 'self,' and attachment to the 'self' is the seed of clinging to the 'self.' If someone says that even if the 'self' exists in the state of liberation, one will become detached from it because one strives to contemplate 'what is mine' as suffering. Then, a person who desires liberation has the property that even if you strive to contemplate 'what is mine' as suffering, your own 'self'-view will hinder you from detaching from attachment to 'what is mine,' and it will also obscure the faults of 'what is mine.' This is because under the influence of your own 'self'-view, you will see the qualities of 'what is mine,' and thus attachment to it will arise. If someone says that just like 'what is mine,' 'self'-view, etc., do not exist because one has also become detached from attachment to the 'self.' Then, in the state of liberation, anyone who is detached from attachment to 'what is mine' does not exist, because just like 'what is mine,' one has also become detached from attachment to the 'self.' If you admit this, then the liberated person

The tenet is a dharma. In order to attain freedom from attachment, it is meaningless to meditate on what is mine as suffering, because what is mine is to abandon me as it is. Furthermore, those yogis who meditate on what is mine as suffering are dharma. Meditating on what is mine as suffering, merely clearly knowing that it is suffering itself, will not lead to detachment from it, because even in the state of not being detached from attachment before, one also directly knows suffering, and even so, there is no detachment from it. If in the present situation, some people may become detached from their attachment because they see the faults of the object of attachment, then will meditating on suffering become the cause of detachment from the attachment to suffering? The person with self-attachment is dharma. If merely at the moment of seeing the faults of what is mine, the mind of attachment to it is reversed, it will not be completely detached from it, because it has attachment to self. For example, some who are lustful, seeing the faults of some women, although they are not attached to them, will generate attachment to other women. The one who establishes that tenet, that is dharma. If there is a difference in clinging to self as what should be taken and what is mine as what should be abandoned, then there will be no complete detachment from what is mine, and the attachment that arises solely with self as its object, when it arises from several kinds of conditions, will become the seed of all attachments such as attachment to what is mine. If the self itself is faultless, then the one who is attached to self is dharma. It should be faultless, because it is one who desires a faultless object. For example, like having a desire for liberation. The body and freedom, etc., are also dharma. It should be faultless, because I am the accomplisher of faultless happiness. For example, like the path to liberation. Therefore, the person who desires liberation is dharma. It is impossible to be detached from attachment to any object, because the three, self, attachment to self, and freedom, etc., what is mine, are all faultless. There is pervasion, because in your tenet, the three causes that bind beings are also just that. If freedom, etc., will be detached from attachment, because it is the cause of generating suffering and has faults.
