Because it does not possess, and relies on the previous similar body, it becomes the property of the body itself, so it has desires and so on. If it is said that because all beings have not exceeded the nature of the four great elements, they are pervaded by desires and so on, so it is impossible to be without desires, then, all beings are Dharmas, the size of desires should be the same, because their direct cause, the four great elements, are the same. If it is said that due to the difference in the increase and decrease of the four great elements, desires and so on will also increase and decrease, so there is no fault, then, according to your view, in the four great elements, although there is no difference between living beings, extremely living beings, extremely extremely living beings, etc., but as the basis of the differences such as those who have desires, extremely desiring ones, extremely extremely desiring ones, etc., which of the four great elements is the Dharma, previously there were desires and so on, but later they do not exist, this is possible, because just like oneself being prominent, increasing, and decreasing, desires and so on will also increase and decrease. That is because for you, that is a separable other thing. If it is said that although desires and so on have differences in increase and decrease, their cause, the four great elements, are the same, that is, the overall nature will not change, so the four great elements or living beings, etc., are not completely disappeared, then, all beings are Dharmas, the size of desires should be the same, because the nature of their cause is the same. This is pervasive, for example, the consciousness that arises from spotted cows and cuckoos, etc., is not the difference of cows with the form of cows, extremely cows, extremely extremely cows, etc., because they are produced from the same kind of nature as cows. Or, in this Charvaka's doctrine, also because the cause, earth, etc., the four great elements are the same, so in the production of some beings, there is no manifestation of the order of differences such as living beings, extremely living beings, extremely extremely living beings, etc. For example, although there are differences in the order of warmth, extreme warmth, etc., there is no fire that is completely without warmth, similarly, here, the four great elements or living beings cannot completely disappear. If it is said that the metaphor and the meaning are not the same, because warmth is the Dharma, you as the part of yourself that becomes other things, the fire of the changing component, is not the basis of increase and decrease, because such a thing is a measure.

Because of the reason for obstruction. Therefore, sentient beings and so on, those dharmas, some of the differences in sentient beings or the elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, are impossible to be constant, because some merit of sentient beings or things other than the elements has a sequence of increasing and decreasing differences. For example, dharma, like the white color and so on that exists on felt. If it is said that the reason "previously non-existent, on the elements" is uncertain, for example, form, smell, etc. are only the dharma of the elements, but those completely non-existent elements are impossible to exist, if it is said like this. Desire and other dharmas, unlike form, smell, etc., do not necessarily reside on the elements, because form, etc., are inseparable from the elements. You can be separated from the elements and are other things. If it is said that form, etc., are inseparable from the elements, and like that, desire, etc., are also inseparable from the elements, if it is said like this, the metaphor and meaning are not the same, because desire, hatred, jealousy, stinginess, etc., are not inseparable from that. If so, just like form, smell, etc., they arise simultaneously in the continuum of a person, there will be such a fault. If it is said that because of external objects, they occasionally arise, so there is no fault, the desire, etc., of the wheel of consciousness, the external object is also not a determinant of your occasional arising, because it is the object of action of conceptualizing liking and disliking, etc. Furthermore, if desire, etc., do not depend on their own kind of previous ones, but arise only from the body of the elements, desire, etc., dharma, there is no certainty that they will occasionally arise in time and place, because there is no cause, because they are separated from their own similar cause, and dissimilar ones cannot be the cause. If it is said that the reason is not established, the elements are the similar cause of that, if it is said like this, all the minds of desire and hatred, etc., you should all arise at all times, because the cause of such arising, the body of the elements, is always close to existence. After thus showing the characteristics of the truth of suffering, now showing that aspect, the five aggregates of grasping, dharma, are impermanent, because they are occasionally observed to arise.
