Even before you arise, your destruction would occur, because your destruction arises without a cause. Pervasion (all-pervasive), if it arises without a cause, then it must always have before and after. If you accept, then, before you arise, your existence, that is, both arising and destruction, would also exist. Pervasion (all-pervasive), because destruction must precede arising. If the destruction of things like pots does not exist before they arise and only arises later, then it will sometimes be interrupted, and in that case, it contradicts being without a cause, which is a very serious fault. The way to eliminate it is: things like pots, as the subject of the proposition, that destruction of yours that disappears after being destroyed, by the reason of arising without a cause, there is no fault of arising and ceasing even before you arise, because that destruction of yours that disappears after being destroyed does not arise without a cause, because it is not a thing. If, just as some animate pots, etc., are considered to be obstructive, but some animate consciousness is considered to be unobstructed, similarly, although the existence of animate things is of the nature of destruction, the non-animate sky, etc., are not of the nature of destruction, therefore, it is not certain to establish that things are destructive by the reason of existence. Things, as the subject of the proposition, your nature of being permanent and impermanent is not different, because the differences in the causes that produce your permanent and impermanent nature are not different. Pervasion (all-pervasive), because only from the definite difference in the nature of the cause can the definite difference in the nature of the result be determined. Therefore, because existence is impermanent, those statements that the relationship between sound and meaning is also permanent are refuted because they exist. Furthermore, by analyzing and considering that the power of the statement sound is appropriate, etc., the belief in the relationship between sound and meaning is also refuted by the fault of the previously mentioned relationship between sound and meaning being permanent. Furthermore, if one establishes that the statement is true by the reason of being non-human-made, then, is it said that it is not made because it is caused by human faults such as greed, etc.? Or is it said that it is not made at all by causes and conditions? If it is the former, knowable things, as the subject of the proposition, not made because caused by human faults such as greed, etc.

The so-called "made," as a proof of correct knowledge that understands its meaning as it is, is incorrect. Because the flawless lamp and moonlight, etc., made by human faults such as greed, etc., are the cause of correct knowledge, not the cause of wrong knowledge in another way. If the second is accepted, then the words of the Vedas, as dharma, should not become the cause of correct knowledge, because it is not made by causes and conditions, but is constant. This is pervasive, because from constant causes, the ability of things to follow and change is not seen, so it is impossible for any result to arise. If it is said that the ability to produce results from the constant is not established, because the sky is constant, but it is seen to produce self-grasping consciousness. Then, the discriminating mind towards the uncompounded sky, as dharma, arises from the habit of discriminating into something empty of its own object, that is, a scattered appearance, but it is not an object of self-character, because from the habit of discriminating that has come down from beginningless time, its appearing object is apprehended as an external object and becomes an object. If it is said that words not made by humans are pervasive of truth, because the opposite of not made, made, is pervasive of falsehood that contradicts truth, because all false words are seen to be made by humans. Therefore, what is not made by humans, although it does not follow as proof that the Vedas are true, it is a sign of mere reversal. If it is said that there is no falsehood that is not made by humans, because falsehood made by humans is seen. This is pervasive, because what is made and not made by humans are contradictory. Then, knowable things, as dharma, because what is made by humans is seen in falsehood, what is not made by humans is not seen, so it is not pervasive, like effort-born and non-effort-born.

Because even in contradictory things, one pervasive dharma such as impermanence can be seen to commonly follow. If such a sign does not exist in the opposite of what is to be proven, because it is not seen there. For all signs, merely because it is not seen in its opposite, it does not establish that it does not exist there, which has been explained in detail before. Therefore, the subject of dharma is uncreated by humans, the subject of dharma is that the Vedas are truthful, doubt arises regarding the elimination from the opposite of what is to be proven, therefore it is not pervasive. Because it does not exist in the opposite of what is to be proven, it is not established. Therefore, a sign that only has elimination without following cannot become a limb. If the sign is certain to exist only in the similar class, having following, and is certain to not exist only in the dissimilar class, having elimination, and is in accordance with the way of establishing it on the subject of what is to be proven, and the nature of the dharma that is certain to exist only on the subject of what is to be proven, if these three aspects are established by a valid cognition that has the result of certainty, then it is a correct proving sign. If any one of the three aspects is incomplete, it cannot become a correct sign. If it is completely established on both, then that is what is to be proven. Furthermore, knowable things, the reason that the sign is certain to not exist in all the opposites of what is to be proven is a reason that has following, because it exists in the similar class. Because on any object, the opposite of the dharma to be proven is eliminated, the object spoken of by that dharma must become the similar class of the dharma to be proven by this sign. Furthermore, that the Vedas are not created by humans, and that the mantras of the Vedas give the fruit of pacifying diseases, etc., is also contradictory. Because the mantras of the Vedas, the subject of dharma, must be designated and blessed by some people with intellectual abilities. Because it is a proving mantra for the fruit of pacifying diseases, etc. If the power of the letters of the Vedic mantras themselves gives the fruit of pacifying diseases, etc., and does not depend on designation, then for other mantras that apply rituals and recitations, etc., in a reversed way, the subject of dharma, it will also become possible to have the power to give the fruit of pacifying diseases, etc. Because of the mantras and letters that apply rituals and recitations, etc., in a non-reversed way.
