The primary entity is the subject. It should not be the nature of that change, because when the change disintegrates, you remain constant. If you concede, then you will not become the object of a consciousness that apprehends change, generality, and particularity, because the nature of change is distinct. If, as the eliminativists say, when the appearance disintegrates, whether the generality disintegrates or not, if we examine it in this way, then the fault we have established is the same. For the appearances of a vase, etc., merely negating what is not a vase, the opposite of negation, the other-exclusion, is the subject. When the appearance of a vase disintegrates, you do not disintegrate but remain constant, and when the appearance of a vase disintegrates, you do not remain constant but disintegrate, one should not think and examine in this way, because you do not exist in reality even slightly in terms of essence. For the consciousness that apprehends the generality of a vase, the image of the vase is the subject. You also, when the appearance of a vase disintegrates, disintegrate or do not disintegrate, one should not think and examine in this way, because it is defiled and fabricated by conceptual thought. Therefore, in the system of the eliminativists, it is the subject. When the appearance disintegrates, whether the generality disintegrates or not, one should not examine it in this way and refute it, because the other-exclusion of non-affirming negation and the other-exclusion of consciousness, both, when the appearance disintegrates, disintegrate or do not disintegrate, one should not think and examine in this way. Because apart from those two, they do not admit even a slight generality. If the primary generality does not exist, then the co-operative conditions of the barley sprout, such as water and fertilizer, are the subject. How does the barley sprout arise, and it should not not arise, because the nature of the producer of the barley sprout is a substance different from the barley seed. The distinction of the co-operative conditions of the barley sprout, such as water and fertilizer, is the subject. Even though it is a distinct entity without a primary generality, it should be the producer of the barley sprout, because the barley seed, when you exist as a helper, produces the barley sprout, and when you do not exist, it does not produce it. If for the co-operative conditions of the sprout, such as water and fertilizer, there also exists a primary generality that is not distinct, and it produces the sprout by its power, then it is unreasonable to produce it by the distinction alone. The primary generality does not produce the sprout, it has already been said to be separate from the distinctions of what can and cannot be done, etc. Thus, all phenomena

Having established difference through distinct arising and ceasing, and also establishing difference through appearing differently to the mind, for example, the differences in the cooperative causes of sprouts, such as water, fertilizer, etc., are the subject of debate. Even without a general "lord," they are extremely different, because they do not rely on appearing as one other than appearing differently to the mind, but rather are determined as different by the non-deceptive mind. Therefore, that (water, fertilizer, etc.) is the subject of debate. Among the two general appearances, you truly exist, because you exist separately from other similar and dissimilar types, without being mixed with others. Therefore, things like water and fertilizer are called causes because they produce their own results; and they are called effects because they arise from their own causes. And, because their own nature exists without being mixed with others, it is considered their own characteristic. And, because entering into it results in the fruit of acceptance and rejection, it is the realm entered by all beings seeking fruit. Other than that, there is no general "lord" whatsoever. If things are not one in the state of "lordship," then will all causes produce all effects? It is not the same, just as you, the Samkhya school, believe that things are undifferentiated and one in the state of "lordship," but do not believe that all causes are the producers of all effects. Buddhists, are the subject of debate. Even if things are not different in the difference without a general thing "lord," all causes are not the producers of all effects, because even if things are in the difference without a general "lord," the nature of things will cause some causes to become the producers of some effects. If things are one in the state of "lordship," then all causes will produce all effects; if things are one in the state of "lordship," then some causes not producing some effects is not in accordance with the nature of things, are these two the same? They are not the same. Knowable, is the subject of debate. If things are undifferentiatedly one in the state of "lordship," then it is unreasonable for some causes to produce some effects, because if it is one there, then all causes must produce all effects, because the single thing will produce the effect.
