It is like the appearance of duality. Therefore, blue and so on and their minds are not other. If, like us, one should not say that the appearance of mind is the object. However, if it is said that the cause of the arising of the aspect of the object from which consciousness arises is the existence of the object, then the object is not the cause. Because it is dissimilar, because it is unseen. The statement that the object is the cause that establishes the aspect for consciousness is also merely an agreement, because consciousness is not similar to the object. In this regard, for the time being, the coarse does not accept the cause of the aspect because it is not substantial in itself. For atoms, since they are without parts, how can they generate aspects with parts? If it is said that aggregates generate them, since aggregates are many, the aspects of consciousness will also become many, like the protrusions in different containers. If it is said that although the aspects of consciousness are many, the mind is not certain, just as a moment is uncertain even though it is short, then in that case, many similar consciousness entities will arise in one moment, which is also unreasonable, because it is said in the scriptures that sentient beings are each a continuum of consciousness. If it is said that although the aggregates are many, they generate one aspect, then the object and consciousness are not similar, because one and many are contradictory. If the object exists in blue or yellow, and consciousness also appears as such, then it can only be said that consciousness is similar to the object, but not because it is similar in all aspects. This is also unreasonable, if one can be certain that consciousness is similar to the object when seeing some objects such as blue and yellow, then in your school, if one does not see any object other than the aspect, how can one be certain that consciousness is similar to the object? In this way, if the object is not established, similarity is not established; if similarity is not established, the object is not established. Now, who will establish what with what? Furthermore, it is not reasonable to establish that consciousness experiences the object through similarity with the object, because: It is too extreme, because it is contradictory. It is not reasonable to experience through similarity. Is it experienced through partial similarity with the object, or through complete similarity with oneself? If it is the former, because there is nothing that is not partially dissimilar to something else, consciousness

Everything will experience all things. If the self is the same, then because there is no distinction, knowledge will also become the thing itself. What is the use of this subtle analysis of same or different? Even when the sense faculties and attention are present, sometimes consciousness is not seen to arise, therefore it is established that there is another cause of consciousness, and if it is said that is it, the occasional arising of consciousness is mistaken because it is from the immediately preceding. Even when the sense faculties and attention are present, sometimes consciousness does not arise, but those are not dependent on external objects, but because the habit-awakening, that is, the immediately preceding cause with powerful force, is not near. Like this, not all knowledge becomes the cause of awakening habits, but some become the habit-awakeners of some, therefore, meaninglessly, consciousness sometimes arises. If asked, how is it known that the occasional arising of consciousness is from the awakening and non-awakening of habits? Because other than habits, nothing else can be the cause of consciousness, because external objects cannot be proven by any form of reasoning. If it is said that habits are also difficult to prove, it is not so, because the word habit does not acknowledge anything else, but refers to the ability of prior knowledge to generate later knowledge. That is not non-existent either, because the arising of later knowledge from prior capable knowledge has been proven by the experience of all beings. If various forms of reasoning obstruct the object of perception, then consciousness should also not be acknowledged, because knowledge is distinguished by knowing the object of perception. If it is said that not knowing the object of perception should also not be considered knowledge, because it does not have the attribute of knowledge, consciousness is separated from its object, and is clearly seen in illusions and so on. Is it not known to all the world that there is no object in the consciousnesses of illusions and dreams and so on? How can it be said that consciousness is distinguished by knowing the object of perception? If the knowledge of illusions and so on can be considered without an object because it is an illusion, then how can there be no object for non-deceptive knowledge? The knowledge of illusions and so on, as well as blue and so on, becomes illusion and non-
