The Sambhogakaya is endowed with the five certainties. The fourth is the Nirmanakaya, which has three parts: the aspect of the body and so on being uncertain, recognizing its essence, and especially explaining the Teacher himself. The first part is: contrary to the five certainties mentioned above, the one endowed with the five uncertainties is the Nirmanakaya. Among them, the body is uncertain because it also appears in the form of Indra and Brahma, etc. The place is uncertain because it resides in various pure and impure realms. The time is uncertain because it resides appropriately for a hundred years and eighty thousand years, etc., in accordance with the appearance of the beings to be tamed. The retinue is uncertain because there are various ordinary beings and noble ones of the three vehicles. The Dharma is uncertain because it teaches appropriately the three vehicles or one vehicle, etc. The second part is: whatever form body performs various temporary and long-term benefits for the beings to be tamed as long as the world and space exist, that body is the Nirmanakaya of the Sage, which is constantly continuous according to the deeds. The third part has three parts: establishing the Teacher himself as the Nirmanakaya, the way of doing the twelve deeds, and how to abide in what place and time. The first part is: Shakyamuni, the son of Shuddhodana, completed the twelve deeds and taught the Dharma to beings, this is also the Nirmanakaya of the Buddha. The second part is: what are the twelve deeds? As for the deeds of this Sage, he attained enlightenment in Akanishta, and in hundreds of millions of Jambudvipa, he manifested hundreds of millions of emanations. First, he came from Akanishta and was born as Damapa Tokkarpo in the place of Tushita, which is the manifest birth. Some do not count this as one of the twelve deeds, and some say that descending from Tushita is combined with the latter, which is unreasonable. Because this and the commentary on the Abhidharmasamuccaya, the commentary on the Sutra Ornament, the Meaningful Commentary, and the explanation of the Madhyantavibhaga, etc., all count residing in Tushita as one. Then, descending into the world in the form of an elephant and entering the womb of the mother Maya, if summarized into twelve deeds, these two can be summarized as entering the womb after descending.

It seems necessary. (These are the twelve deeds of the Buddha, namely:) Being born from the right side in the Lumbini Grove; demonstrating expertise in crafts and arts such as writing, wrestling, and grappling; delighting and playing with the retinue of consorts such as Samudradevi and Yashodhara; renouncing the world from the royal palace; practicing austerities for six years on the banks of the Nairanjana River; going to the Vajrasana at Bodh Gaya to demonstrate the attainment of enlightenment; sitting on the mat spread under the Bodhi tree, destroying all the hosts of Mara at dusk with the samadhi of loving-kindness; relying on the fourth dhyana of utmost excellence at dawn, and becoming fully enlightened with the wisdom that is in union with a single moment, realizing all dharmas; and in Varanasi, teaching the five disciples and others: 'Monks, these two extremes are not to be approached by those who have gone forth: the extreme of attachment to sensual pleasures, and the extreme of exhausting and fatiguing oneself. Abandoning these extremes, the Dharma is taught by the Middle Way, namely, right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration. These four are the noble truths, namely, suffering, the origin of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the path leading to the cessation of suffering.' And so forth, turning the wheel of Dharma in three rounds and twelve aspects of the four noble truths; and in Rajagriha and other places, for the retinues of the Great Vehicle, beginning with the non-inherent existence of all dharmas, turning the wheel of Dharma of no characteristics in the manner of aspiring to emptiness; and in various places, for the retinues of various dispositions, turning the three wheels of Dharma, well distinguishing them by way of the three characteristics and so forth; and going to demonstrate the manner of passing into nirvana under the pair of Sala trees in the city of Kushinagar. The third is, 'The place of the wheel of Dharma and the vast place,' and so forth, which comes from the teachings of the Shravakas and is easy to understand. Second, the dependent wisdom has two aspects: explaining the five wisdoms of transformation, and showing the nature of the four wisdoms. The first is, all
