Forms, etc., that become objects of the senses are accumulations of atoms. Moreover, they are gathered by the wind, which holds the surrounding with intervals, so they are considered inseparable from each other. In the outer attainment of meaning, it is said: From different aspects, there are many, and for some things, it is only surrounded from all sides. That atom that is exhausted in speech is not of the nature of having parts. So it is said. Mind is the source of mind, and it is the collection of consciousnesses previously mentioned. The others have already been said. Forms, etc., that are taken and eye consciousness that can take are both real things, and it is believed that they are simultaneous in time, and that before the form of the object appears, they meet by contact. As it is said: The wisdom born of the root is without form, and directly cognizes the subtle accumulation. So it is said. The root with support is the cause of observing things. In the Treasury, it is said: The eye sees forms with support, not the consciousness that depends on it, because the forms separated by intervals do not return because they are seen. So it is said. It is believed that the three times of past, present, and future are all real things. If the past and future are not real things, then there will be no attachment to them, and the fruit of past actions will not be produced. They say that it will definitely change. Destroying with destructive things such as hammers, and separating the branch dharmas such as form, smell, etc. with wisdom, and not generating attachment to them, this is conventional truth. For example, after destroying with a hammer, the vase to which no attachment is generated, and after separating the dharmas such as form, smell, etc. with wisdom, the stream of water, etc. to which no attachment is generated. In name, the vase exists, the Ganges exists, etc. If it is said like this, it will only become truth, and it will not become false. It is not possible to destroy and separate the branches, and it is produced independently by the wisdom of self-grasping, this is ultimate truth, such as atoms and space, etc. Just as it is said in the Treasury: For what is destroyed and other distinctions are made with wisdom, if no attachment is generated to it, like a vase and water, it is conventional truth, and ultimate truth is other. Just like what is said. Second, explaining the tenets of the Sutra School: Not taking treatises as valid, but following the Sutra School, so it is the Sutra School. From the five things of its tenets, not

The conditioned aggregate of formations is merely a designation applied to the state of form and mind, and is not substantially existent. Moreover, the three unconditioned phenomena are also merely names that are not established as substantial entities. This is because space is merely the obstruction of obstructive form, analytical cessation is merely the destruction by an antidote, and non-analytical cessation is merely the non-arising of a result due to the incompleteness of causes and conditions. As it is said: 'Formations are not material, space is like a barren woman's child, the two cessations are also the same.' The objects of apprehension, such as form, are material objects of the nature of accumulated particles. Because they do not directly appear to consciousness, they are obscured. For self-grasping, they are the destroyers of their own likeness, so they are established as objects. As it is said: 'The arising of consciousness is with aspects, it is not the appearance of the sensory field.' For example, placing a cloth or something similar that is altered with various colors next to a clear crystal, just as various colors appear on the crystal, consciousness arises in the same way as external objects. The grasper and the grasped are cause and effect of different times. Although they do not actually grasp merely by appearing, it is said that they grasp in the manner of creating their own likeness. For example, just as a son is born resembling his father, it is said that the son grasps the father's image. As it is said in the Pramāṇavārttika: 'For example, because the result arises in a manner similar to its causes, even though it does not possess activity, the world says that the cause grasps the image of the result.' The self of a person is not established, and the two truths are: ultimately, whatever is capable of performing the function of producing a result is the ultimate truth, and whatever is not capable of performing a function but exists conventionally is the conventional truth. As it is said in the Pramāṇavārttika: 'Whatever is capable of performing a function ultimately, that is the ultimate existent here, the other is the conventional existent.' Third, explaining the tenets of the Mind-Only school: because they are devoted to meditative absorption, they are practitioners of yoga. Because they believe that only mind is substantially established ultimately, they are Mind-Only proponents. According to their system, they determine knowable objects through the three natures: the completely imputed, the dependent, and the thoroughly established. Among these, the completely imputed is the various conceptualizations of self and phenomena.
