It is said that one is born here and then experiences the fruit in the realm of form. The aspect is that, relying on the mind of the fourth dhyana, one sees perception as disease, boils, and pain. Non-perception is complete non-bewilderment. Thus, one enters into samadhi with the aspect of refuting perception. Cessation samadhi is that, relying on the mind of the peak of existence, cessation samadhi is similar to peaceful nirvana. With the mental activity of observation, the seven consciousnesses, along with their retinues, except for the alaya consciousness, are temporarily prevented from arising. This is a designation for the state of the mind stream. Regarding the person who enters this samadhi, it is summarized as follows: As it is said in the sutras, the learner, the non-returner, who realizes it with the body, and the non-learner who is liberated from both, also enter into samadhi, as well as the Buddhas and noble Bodhisattvas. The realm is also the same. From the perspective of birth, the alaya consciousness, which is not yet established, is first born here and then manifests in the realm of form. This manifestation is because it depends on form. If the alaya consciousness is established, then all manifestations should be regarded as preceding. It is said that the unborn is the basis for the born, and it is the desire realm and all three realms. The aspect is that feelings and perceptions are regarded as diseases, boils, and pains, and are then ceased. The life faculty is the duration for which the aggregates of the ripening of previous karma continue to exist. It is a designation for the fixed duration of existence. Among the four characteristics of conditioned phenomena, arising is the designation for the state in which the continuum of internal formations that had not arisen, arises. Abiding is the designation for the state in which the continuum of internal formations exists from arising until death. Aging is the designation for the state in which the continuum of internal formations becomes different from the previous one. Impermanence is the designation for the state in which the continuum of internal formations disintegrates. These four characteristics of conditioned phenomena were spoken by the Bhagavan with reference to internal formations in order to generate weariness in those to be tamed. And also, it is like the arising and ceasing, etc., as they are known in the world.

That which is considered as a continuum is not momentary, because the arising and ceasing of moments, etc., are not known in the world. As it is said, in the commentary on the Abhidharmakośa: 'Arising from what was not before is birth, the cessation of what is continuous is destruction, the difference between the before and after of the continuum is, different states are called change.' As it is said. The collection of names is, the occasion of terms that show the nature of dharmas such as eyes and ears. The collection of words is, conditioned, impermanent, defiled, suffering, etc., the occasion of terms that show the very nature of the meaning of dharmas and persons, in connection with the dharma of difference. The collection of letters is, the occasion of the gathering of many letters of vowels and consonants, the place of both name and word. The non-associated formations spoken of in this way are considered by the Vaibhāṣika to be established as substances separate from the three, form, mind, and mental factors, while the Sautrāntika and above consider them to be merely imputed existents imputed on the basis of form, mind, and mental factors, and not as substances. Fifth, the aggregate of consciousness, divided into two, the first is a brief explanation of the definition and classification: The definition of consciousness is to distinctly cognize the nature of objects such as form and sound without mixing them. Mental factors only cognize the distinctions of objects, so they do not become the fault of consciousness. So, what is the nature of the object, and what is the difference? The reversal of form from non-form is the object nature of form, and above that, pleasant and unpleasant, and blue and yellow, etc., are the object differences of form. When eye consciousness sees the form of a vase, it thinks, 'This is form,' and from the reversal of form alone, the power of eye consciousness can bring about certainty. Therefore, it is established that eye consciousness only knows the object nature of form. But for the differences such as 'This is the form of a vase,' 'This is yellow,' 'This is blue,' etc., it is the mental factors such as feeling and thought that accompany eye consciousness that bring about certainty, therefore, it is separately established that mental factors know the differences of objects. As it is said, in the Madhyāntavibhāga: In this
