The act of passing into nirvana under the twin Sala trees in the city of La-tsa is one of the twelve deeds of the Buddha. The third is: 'The place of the Dharma wheel and the vast place,' etc., which comes from the teachings of the Shravakas and is easy to understand. Second, the wisdom that relies on it has two aspects: explaining the five transmutations of wisdom, and showing the nature of the four wisdoms. The first is: the transformation of the alaya consciousness into the uncontaminated is the mirror-like wisdom. Some consider it to be also the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. The transformation of the afflicted mind into the uncontaminated is considered to be the wisdom of equality. The transformation of the mind consciousness into the uncontaminated is the discriminating wisdom. The transformation of the five sense consciousnesses into the uncontaminated is considered to be the accomplishing wisdom. Second, the mirror-like wisdom, from the point of view of its essence, has no self-grasping; from the point of view of its object, it focuses on objects without distinguishing between place, time, and so on. Time is always present, and by abandoning the two obscurations and their habitual tendencies, one is not confused about all that is knowable. Even the appearance of what is knowable is not specifically distinguished, such as 'This is blue,' 'This is yellow,' etc., so one does not always tend towards those knowable things. The wisdom of equality is that by meditating on the equality of self and others for all sentient beings, and becoming accustomed to that meditation, it arises from a pure cause, does not abide in the extremes of samsara and nirvana, and abides in peace, which is considered to be the wisdom of equality. The nature of discriminating wisdom is that it is always unobstructed with respect to all that is knowable, and effortlessly knows clearly at the same time, and because many samadhis and dharanis arise, it is like a treasure of them. The accomplishing wisdom is that it shows various forms in all realms of the world, the numbers and so on are immeasurable, and through many inconceivable manifestations, it accomplishes the benefit of all sentient beings. Third, the collection of qualities of these wisdoms has two aspects: explaining in detail from the point of view of categories, and showing briefly from the point of view of praise. The first has nineteen

The eighteen unshared dharmas, the ten powers, the four purities, the three mindfulnesses, without afflictions, knowing as soon as thought arises, not forgetting the benefit of others, destroying habitual tendencies, great compassion, five eyes, six superknowledges, eight liberations, nine successive abidings, ten pervading spheres, eight victories. These are the common and uncommon qualities. First, generosity being the place where wealth arises, and stinginess not being the place where it arises, etc., all are the knowledge of cause and effect gathered by understanding, without attachment to the place and non-place, is the first power. The knowledge without attachment to the nature and vast differences of the ripening of virtuous and non-virtuous actions is the second. The knowledge without attachment to the various aspirations of those who seek enlightenment, such as Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, etc., is the third. The knowledge without attachment to the realms of those to be tamed, that is, the various lineages, the certain and uncertain realms, is the fourth. The knowledge without attachment to the differences between the sharp faculties of those to be tamed, who are completely afflicted and purified, and the dull faculties that are not supreme, and the intermediate ones, is the fifth. The knowledge without attachment to the three vehicles of the path that leads to all higher realms and definite goodness, and to meritorious and immovable actions, and to what is contrary to them, is the sixth. The knowledge without attachment to the taste and faults of defilement, such as meditation and liberation samadhi, and to the purity that does not contemplate and is determined to be free, is the seventh. The knowledge without attachment to the past states of oneself and others, the previous lives, recalling many previous lives, is the eighth. The knowledge without attachment to all the stages of death and birth that all beings experience from the present to the future is the ninth. The knowledge without attachment to the purification of one aspect of obscurations of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and to the purity of the exhaustion of outflows of all Buddhas, is the tenth power. These are called powers because they are not overcome by opposing factors. Second, from the point of view of self-interest, there are two, and from the point of view of benefiting others, there are two. First,
