Saying that it increases tenfold for mothers is wrong. Because the qualities of the eighth bhumi and above cannot be expressed in numbers, they are explained by multiplying by the number of atoms in the great thousandfold trichiliocosm. If you want to know, you should read the Madhyamakavatara. Fourth, the path of meditation has two aspects: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first is the path of meditation for familiarizing oneself with the nature of reality already seen on the path of seeing. The second has two aspects: explaining the characteristics of the ten bhumis and how the meditation of the noble path is perfected. The first has three aspects: identifying the ten bhumis, associating them with the ten perfections, and explaining their respective qualities of abandonment, realization, and merit. First, as it says in the Ornament: "Because of the joy that arises from being close to enlightenment and seeing the accomplishment of the welfare of sentient beings, it is called the 'Extremely Joyful'." Thus, because one sees the nature of reality not previously seen, is close to enlightenment, and sees the accomplishment of the welfare of sentient beings, the first bhumi is called the Extremely Joyful. "Because of striving to maintain ethical conduct and being free from defilement, it is considered the 'Immaculate Bhumi'." Thus, because the perfection of ethical conduct is complete, and there is no defilement of immoral conduct, the second bhumi is called the Immaculate. "Because it makes the great light of Dharma appear, it is called the 'Illuminating Bhumi'." Thus, because by the power of samadhi, it illuminates oneself and others, it is the Illuminating Bhumi. "Like this, the dharmas in harmony with enlightenment burn completely, like a flame. Because it possesses that, that bhumi is called the 'Radiant Bhumi' because it burns the two." Thus, because the fire that burns the firewood of the two obscurations blazes, the fourth bhumi is called the Radiant Bhumi. "Completely ripening sentient beings and protecting one's own mind, it is difficult for the wise to tame, therefore it is called the 'Difficult to Subdue Bhumi'." Thus, because one ripens sentient beings and protects one's own mind by not conforming to their wrongdoings, one is not afflicted by disturbing emotions, and thus overcomes what is extremely difficult to do, the fifth bhumi is the Difficult to Subdue Bhumi. "Relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, samsara and nirvana, these two become manifest, therefore it is said to be the 'Manifest Bhumi'." Thus, because one sees the faults and merits of samsara and nirvana, one does not abide at the extreme of samsara with wisdom, and one does not abide at the extreme of nirvana with compa-

Therefore, the sixth ground manifests, because it is connected with the path of a single journey. As it is said, "It is considered to be a place far away," because the path of a single journey is connected with the eighth ground, the seventh ground is far away from the abyss of samsara and nirvana; Because it is not moved by dualistic perceptions. As it is said, "It is considered to be the immovable place," because it is not moved by the dualistic perceptions of diligence in the conditioned and the unconditioned, the eighth ground is the immovable ground; Individual correct wisdom, good intelligence. This ground is good intelligence. As it is said, "Individual correct wisdom, good intelligence, this ground is good intelligence," because it possesses the complete wisdom of individually and correctly knowing reality, the ninth ground is the ground of good intelligence; Like clouds, the two are the dharma of space, because of pervasiveness, it is the cloud of dharma. As it is said, "Like clouds, the two are the dharma of space, because of pervasiveness, it is the cloud of dharma," because it rains the rain of dharma upon those to be tamed, the tenth ground is the ground of the cloud of dharma; Among these ten grounds, the first ground, the Joyful Ground, is the path of seeing, and the remaining grounds become the path of cultivation. Second, the nature of these ten grounds is the completion of the ten perfections, that is, the first ground is completed by the perfection of generosity, and so on until the tenth ground is completed by the perfection of wisdom, and one should know the respective situations. Third, the abandonment, realization, and qualities of the ten grounds are extensively explained in the Noble Golden Light Sutra, and one should consult it there. The distinctions of purification are explained in the Ornament for Clear Realization, and one should consult it there, but here it is not written because of the fear of many words. Second, the Noble Path has two aspects: identifying the Noble Path and showing the function of the path. First, the way in which the limbs of the path of cultivation of the eightfold Noble Path, such as right view, are completed has already been explained. Second, right view is the limb that completely cuts off in the subsequent attainment as one has realized in equipoise. Right speech is the limb that arouses speech that shows others as one has realized, making others understand. Right speech, right action, and right livelihood are, in order, the limbs that make one believe that one's own and others' views, ethics, and livelihood are completely pure. Right effort is the limb that abandons the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation. Right mindfulness is the limb that abandons sinking and excitement. Right concentration
